20.01.2022 Our monthly meeting is on this Wednesday 4th March at 10 am at the CWA hall in Sirius Street. Everyone is welcome to join us for a cuppa and chat. See you there.

19.01.2022 Clermont members Elaine Grubb, Jenny Wilby and Denise Campbell travelled to Moranbah on Saturday 9th March, to meet with the CWA State President Christine King for a training session, with lots of creative ideas to assist the branches. Divisional President Jenny Ryan, Blackwater branch and Divisional secretary Carol Ferguson, Emerald also attended the meeting. Thanks to the Moranbah members for a delicious morning tea and lunch.

19.01.2022 QCWA Clermont Branch celebrated Women Walk the World Day with morning tea at Centenary Park Clermont. Thanks to all those who came along and enjoyed catching up for a chat and a walk along our beautiful lagoon.

WE WILL ALSO DONATE THE MONEY FROM THIS WEEKS SAUAGE SIZZLE AT MITRE 10. WE DID THIS FOR DROUGHT RELIEF AND RAISED $910. COME DOWN TO THE LEO HOTEL THIS FRIDAY AT 5-30 to 6-00 PM AND DIG INTO YOUR POCKETS FOR OUR MATES OUT WEST. THEY DESERVE IT. See more

13.01.2022 Memorial for Jan Lee Friends are invited to an informal memorial get together to remember a wonder Wife, Mum, Mum-in-law, Grandma and friend. Date: Thursday, 26th September at 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Location: CWA Hall, Sirius Street, Clermont. This is a relaxed gathering to share stories, have a yarn, a drink and remember a wonderful person. No need to RSVP or bring anything (the CWA ladies will be having afternoon tea available) just come along anytime of the adfternoon.

12.01.2022 Congratulations Carol Ferguson, on being presented with the Service Medal by President of the Division Jenny Ryan at the Central Highlands Divisional Meeting on Tuesday 5th February. Carol has held the position of President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Division as well as Secretary, Treasurer and International Officer of the Emerald Branch. Well done Carol for all that you do for CWA.

09.01.2022 Thanks to the Mens Shed and the Leo Hotel for their ongoing support raising funds for CWA to distribute to the floods up north. We have also received donations from the public which has also been forwarded to four CWA branches in the flooded areas, these branches will provide families with food vouchers or help pay a few accounts. 06.01.2022 Clermont QCWA held their branch meeting on Wednesday 5th July and afterwards had a shared lunch of Japanese cuisine provided by the members to celebrate our country of study, Japan. In the afternoon we held our AGM to elect the new committee for the coming year. President Linley Hollier, Vice Presidents Gaye Deaves and Jenny Wilby, Secretary Denise Campbell, Treasurer Raye O’Sullivan, International Officer Maureen Legge, Hall Bookings Dawn Kleier. Thanks to the visitors for coming, Jenny Ryan Division President from Blackwater, Carol Ferguson Division Secretary Emerald, Karen Gowlett Capella branch and Helen Rix Blackwater branch, it was great to catch up with everyone.

06.01.2022 We held our monthly meeting at Theresa Creek dam yesterday, followed by a delicious lunch at the kiosk, what a great spot, thanks to Maryanne, Steve and staff for looking after us. After our lunch we headed home and everyone called in at Jenny’s place for afternoon tea and to check out her garden, a great way to spend an afternoon.

Our CWA branch was contacted by the school to ask if we could facilitate the distribution of these letters. President Elaine Grubb congratulated the students on their thoughtful efforts. 01.01.2022 Family and friends gathered at the CWA hall yesterday afternoon to remember Janet (Jan) Lee, it was lovely to catch up with so many people tell yarns and share afternoon tea supplied by the CWA ladies.

01.01.2022 Well the year has nearly come to a close, hope that everyone had a happy Christmas. We held our last meeting for the year on the 4th December, it’s been a busy ...year, thanks to the Clermont community for your on going support. After the meeting the members wrapped the Christmas puddings ready for the Seniors Christmas lunch and then gathered at the Leo Hotel for our Christmas breakup. A few of our members were unable to be with us due to the drought. We wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year with lots and lots of rain. See more
