17.01.2022 Our Town, Our Future Giru Community Workshop #2 Come along to view the draft Giru Community Action Plan being held on Thursday 5 November from 6-7pm at the Gi...ru School of Arts Hall All Giru residents are welcome to attend! If you can’t make this session, you are welcome to pop into the hall on Friday, 6 November from 2.30 3.30pm to view the draft plan and have your say. If you have any queries, please contact the Council’s Community Development team on 4783 9800.

12.01.2022 Some of our members are putting together bags for this Share the dignity drive. (Collection is at any Bunnings store from November 20 to 29). If you would like to contribute but can’t drop off at Bunnings we will be happy to do this for you. If you are not able to fill a whole bag but can donate new and unopened items from the list below, we will do the rest. We will be at the QCWA hall on Wednesday 11 November from 9.30 to 11.30. .

As part of the Our Town, Our Future Community Wellbeing Program, Council will facilitate discussions exploring activities... and initiatives to help build positive wellbeing within each of the Burdekin's townships. The first Community Forum will be held in Giru, inviting all Giru residents to provide their input and feedback - but we want to know when suits you! - Wednesday 7 October, 6-8pm - Sunday 11 October, 10am-12noon - Sunday 11 October, 3-5pm Comment which day and time suits you best, and stay tuned for more information!
