23.01.2022 Last Thursday our Members celebrated International Day in style. Japan is the country of study this year. We must thank our wonderful International Officer Mandi, for supplying and preparing the ingredients and being so organised! We all had a great morning learning to roll sushi, make dumplings and prepare different foods. A big thank you to Kaylene from Roma Branch for donating us Bento Boxes and Chopsticks! Our lunch was amazing! Many of us tried food we have never tried before and all agreed it was a wonderful feast. We also had a Japanese display with members bringing things with a Japanese theme. Lunch was followed by our monthly meeting, where we surprised one of our members ‘Marge’ with a ‘Quiet Acheiver’ badge! All up it was a great day full of laughter and friendship!

20.01.2022 We are celebrating Scone Day next Thursday the 20th of August, it is also our meeting day. The meeting starts at 1pm. The day starts at 9.30 am with members and anyone who would like to join us in making new cushion covers for the chairs at the CWA Hall. Any medium, just bring along something you would like to do, could be patchwork, cross stitch, embroidery etc. It is a great opportunity to use up some scraps! It can be as simple or as detailed as you like! We will be there all day with both sweet and savoury scones, and endless amounts of tea and coffee! Please feel free to join us for all or part of the day, and bring a friend! Of course Covid 19 Restrictions and Social Distancing will apply.

12.01.2022 We had a very productive time today at our first ‘CWA Project Morning’ making Quilts of Love before our meeting. Thank you to all who came and donated their time, cutting, sewing and ironing and also fabrics. Hopefully next month we may be able to open this up to more than just members!
