23.01.2022 We are having another Sewing Bee on Saturday 14/3/2020 to replenish our stock of Hospital Bags. 11.30 am to 2.30 pm. Our last Sewing Bee was a fabulous afternoon. Lots of productive sewing, friendly chats and we shared a delicious afternoon tea. These bags are filled with shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush etc and are given to patients who unexpectedly find themselves in hospital. The kids bags have some colouring pencils and small toy too. Come along to the hall from 2pm Saturday and help a great cause. Come for an hour or the afternoon. We have machines and material. You are welcome to bring your own machine if you prefer. If you would like to bring a plate, that would be wonderful too. Hall is located at 17 Kalinga St Caloundra.

05.01.2022 Thank you to Merle Muller (née Batson) of Pelican Waters for kindly donating her sewing machine (which is in pristine condition) for our children’s sewing club to use . . . Bit of history- The CWA ladies of Nambour branch catered her wedding reception 56 years ago! She is still very happily married today and her mother Ethel Batson was a member at the club which use to be where the shopping centre currently stands. .... . We have suspended Sconetime till further notice, We have been advised that the Corona virus (COVID-19) could be problematic for April & and May so W...e are putting all Sconetime Events on hold! As our aged are most vulnerable it's Better to be safe than sorry! Watch this space! We look forward to making Sconetime fly again!
