08.01.2022 Kia Ora Whnau, East Mori Mangopare Masters team would like to thank the Club and its Komiti Member's for allowing the team to head the Challenge at Qld Nga Hau e Wha Mori Rugby League Tournament. Congratulations to the Team Manager Max Tauranga recovering in hospital. Niki Dalby our Trainer and Field Manager and Mosh our Tournament Organizer and Captain. ... These men are the one's who kept to the Kaupapa of the Masters Creed. To all the players who entered the field of Tmatauenga we congratulate and applaud you all in the efforts and time committed to the 6 week build up to bring Te Whironui on to the Taumata. Special mention to Deb in getting the team over the line and taking some wonderful photos to share in memory. Highlights: Spence scoring the first try of the Masters grade, off a inside under ball from Hare. Willie's sideline run to help get us in front. Richies defensive hits on the line and Terry's Hit ups to the line especially having the 8 on his back Takitimu. Hare and his passing game and great influence across the team, such is a character. Luu and his 3 try haul to create the win in the 2nd game. Mark in all his pain he never wavered or complained but carried on that mana of the Masters Creed. Mean Team ethic and Q standards have been upheld by all who represented Te Mangopare Masters Team. Mates Energy Attitude Never Give Up Untill we all meet again, Ko Te Rawhiti E!
