21.01.2022 Dr. Mathew McDougall explains how to drink Qenda Ultimate Fibre
20.01.2022 There is a growing number of people asking about the taste of Qenda and first hand experience from people using this product. So we asked, Dr. Matt McDougall from BuyNatural to try the #Qenda Ultimate Fibre - Wildberry and give us his experiences. Dr. Mathew McDougall - "I was very interested to try this product first hand after hearing some great feedback from people and seeing the growing level of interest we are having from our BuyNatural Community. I followed the servin...g suggestions on the tub - Mix two level scoops of Qenda Ultimate Fibre in 350-400ml of water in a shaker bottle once or twice daily. - Secure lid and shake vigorously for 10 seconds. - Drink immediately. To be honest, the taste is not for the faint hearted - was quite bitter and I noticed that after the drink was starting thicken after 15-20 seconds as I was not drinking in one go. I am not put off by the taste (smell is not bad, quite fruity) and will next time just drink straight away (as directed on the pack). After about 20-30 mins I experienced some stomach gurgles but no discomfort or unpleasant sensations. I think well worth the 15 seconds or so to drink in order to to gain some detoxing benefits. I will continue on and use this once a day - before dinner and see what happens. Others tell me I should feel 'better' in a few days so curious about this. Thanks Dr. McDougall for giving us your time and experiences - if you are using Qenda Ultimate Fibre please feel free to comment below.

08.01.2022 Fun Fact Monday - What is psyllium? Psyllium is a form of fiber made from the husks of the Plantago ovata plant’s seeds. It sometimes goes by the name ispaghula. Psyllium is a bulk-forming laxative.... This means it soaks up water in your gut and makes bowel movements much easier and can help promote regularity without increasing flatulence. It can be used as a one-off to ease constipation, or it can be added to your diet to help promote regularity and overall digestive health. People with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and Crohn’s disease are all too familiar with bowel irregularity. The results of studies on psyllium’s effectiveness in treating these conditions are still mixed. Psyllium is a prebiotic a substance needed for healthy colonies of probiotics to grow in the gut. A healthy colony of good bacteria in the digestive system is essential for healthy immune function. Your body is better able to fight infection, reduce inflammation, and maintain healthy tissue and cells. Besides keeping your bowel movements regular and managing a chronic condition, psyllium has the ability to soften your stool provided you drink enough water. This can come in handy with short-term ailments, such as constipation. Used in this way, it can prevent complications of constipation, such as hemorrhoids and anal fissures. 06.01.2022 As most of us remain in our homes because of the COVID19 restrictions we find ourselves consuming more junk food and sugar. This may lead to upsetting the natural balance of gut flora and increase symptoms relating to this. Please check out this easy to read article that outlines foods to help combat this and increase 'good' gut microbiota. #guthealth https://buynatural.com.au//how-gut-health-impacts-your-who

01.01.2022 Benefits of fiber The health benefits of dietary fiber are plentiful. Some of the main ones are listed here. Soluble fiber... Lowering fat absorption and helping weight management: As a thick, spread-out gel, soluble fiber blocks fats that would otherwise be digested and absorbed. Lowering cholesterol: Soluble fiber prevents some dietary cholesterol from being broken down and digested. Over time, soluble fiber can help lower cholesterol levels or the amount of free cholesterol in the blood. Stabilizing blood sugar (glucose) levels: Just as it prevents fats from being absorbed, soluble fiber slows down the digestion rate of other nutrients, including carbohydrates. This means meals containing soluble fiber are less likely to cause sharp spikes in blood sugar levels and may prevent them. Reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease: By lowering cholesterol levels, stabilizing blood sugars, and decreasing fat absorption, regularly eating soluble fiber may reduce the risk of heart disease and circulatory conditions. Feeding healthy gut bacteria: Some soluble fiber-rich foods feed gut bacteria, as it is fermentable in the colon, and so it helps the bacteria thrive longer. Source: medicalnewstoday.com
