24.01.2022 A great outcome for Coast Guard Mooloolaba QF6 and these boaties. Reminder to all that life jackets, EPIRBs and correct safety gear save lives. Contact us (or your local Coast Guard for more information on Marine Assist subscriptions.

22.01.2022 We are always proud to respond to Police and Queensland Government Air 510 to help boaties in need. This community is also so fortunate to have the courage and clear thinking of the Mission Beach Dunk Island Water Taxi crew to get these 3 blokes to safety. Be sure to click on their page to see their photos. Great job team

14.01.2022 Your small change can go a long way. Thanks to everyone who donated at the Googarra Beach Caravan Park

14.01.2022 Serious incident over the weekend. A reminder to ensure you have your night time lights checked, operational and on according to your activity. Always post a ‘watch’ while underway.

14.01.2022 Our colleagues at VMR 448 Mackay have requested that we share the details of their rescue vessel that is up for sale. https://www.boatsales.com.au//2014-woody-/SSE-AD-6721532/

12.01.2022 On the weekend we had a BBQ to thank our longstanding member Ed Wickerson. While he will no longer be an active member, I am sure we will see him at our fish and chip nights.

11.01.2022 Stay out of the water, folks!

10.01.2022 What will you do when you find a Donation Dollar or two in your change? Like many volunteer organisations and charities; we are struggling with not being able to fundraise through raffles and Fish and Chip nights Please think of us when you’re counting those cool new Donation Dollar coins and send some our way

08.01.2022 And this, friends, is why we are always reminding you to carry an up to date, functioning and registered beacon at all times. Happy news for these two boaties

08.01.2022 Did you know there’s an App for reporting croc sightings? We have a local croc around the base here at Hull Heads- but surprisingly no reports of crocs in the river at the heads on the App. Hmmm

07.01.2022 FISH AND CHIP NIGHT Sat 19th June 5:30pm After a long Covid induced delay we are back in action next Saturday night.... Covid has severely impacted our fundraising over the last 12 months, so it would be great to see as many as possible.

07.01.2022 This just in from Mission Beach Community Association Inc. newsletter: Sunken catamaran in the Hull River update: Martime Safety have advised us that their contractor has attempted to remove the boat but it broke in pieces and sunk deeper. They are now awaiting favourble tides and winds so a barge can enter the river and remove the boat and also a sunken container. Fingers crossed!

05.01.2022 As a dedicated group of volunteers, Coast Guard will continue to do our absolute best with the financial help we receive from Government, the corporate sector and the public - as we have done for over 50 years without drama and with an unblemished record. Chair of the QLD State Council of AVCGA. Further details in Press release sent to the media today.
