22.01.2022 MAY FEIS MEMORIES Calling all dancers, retired dancers, families, teachers and adjudicators, we need your help to create a page of story, photo and video memories of the May Feis over the past years... here: https://www.facebook.com/May-Feis-Memories-with-QIA-Dancers-109221310771492/ Hi All,... Unfortunately we are not in a position to run our 59th May Feis this weekend as we normally would. At this stage we are not cancelling the Feis but postponing, in the hope that we might be able to hold the Feis later in the year. Given that this would be the time that we would be doing the last preparations and gearing up for the Feis on the weekend we thought we would take the opportunity to at least come together with the dancing community and celebrate the May Feis through Social Media. We would love you to dig through your photo albums and contribute with May Feis photos and/or memories. And please share this link with your Dancers and Families as well so that we can remember some of the fantastic times spent together over the years. Thanks Kate on behalf of the QIA Team

12.01.2022 It is with sadness that we confirm CLRG's official cancellation of the 2020 50th Anniversary World Championships in Dublin. We must acknowledge our four amazing Worlds campaign dancers, Declan, Tara, Daniel and Kathleen, who have been awaiting this official cancellation with heavy hearts. This has been a bitterly disappointing and abrupt end to their months of dedication, intense training and sacrifices in other areas of their lives. They have devoted their time and energy... to being the best dancers they can be, both as soloists and as an elite 4-hand team We also have to commend these role model dancers on their response to the disheartening news, supporting each other, staying positive and rallying to make the best of a lousy situation. It is obvious to all how much you love to dance and we know this setback will not put a damper on your passion We know these hours of training will not go to waste though, we know this will just be the beginning of their Worlds 2021 journey as they work towards a bigger, better, stronger, sharper 2021. Onwards and upwards- the dance will go on! Thanks and appreciation must also go to our teachers, Katie and Kate, for their dedication to training, pushing, encouraging, challenging and supporting these dancers to reach their potential Special mention to Kate Hartley who spent many extra hours training with these four to help them be both physically and mentally prepared for the World Championships. Declan, Tara, Daniel and Kathleen- as a QIA Family, we want you know how immensely proud we are of you. So proud of how you have worked and how you will go on to represent QIA Dancers

08.01.2022 AIDA Queensland QLD Premierships 2020 Our 11 & 12 year olds shone on Day 1: Isabella competed in her first ever feis and took home 3rd overall- trophy, sash, up on the blocks... the works!! What a brilliant start to your competitive career Bella!... Abby also took home a coveted top 3 spot in her premiership, with 3rd overall! She debuted some new dances too! Lucy was awarded 3rd place for her efforts in Open Reserve! She even managed to keep her stamina and performance up despite being in the last section of the day after a LONG delay!! Juliette was the overall winner of her Premiership! We wish we had photographic evidence of the huge, surprised grin on Juliette's face when she realised she'd won Congratulations So lovely to see how you supported and encouraged each other during the session, what a delightful group of young ladies Well done to each of you!
