25.01.2022 It's hurdles tomorrow!! We'd love to get the meet started on time, so please join us at the field to help with set up from 7.30am. Not sure what needs doing? We need help with: - setting the hurdles out according to the marks in lane 1... - setting up the recording tables - putting shade structures up over the recording tables - adding recording sheets in the black Age boxes - connecting the speakers up on the poles - cooking snags on the bbq. And of course, to keep the morning running we'll need: - age managers and a minimum of 2 additional parents to help with marking and measuring - starters - recorders - help to raise the hurdle heights for the different age groups. If you're not sure, just ask one of the "green polo shirt" team and we'll give you a hand.

15.01.2022 It was a busy morning at QLAC, and great to have so many parents stepping in to help with managing the teams, learning the skills to record times and start events, and packing away equipment. We really appreciate the help and we wouldn't be able to keep the meet running smoothly without you. Thanks again to Caity from Queanbeyan Athletics and Riley for coming along to coach the kids in different events. The kids get a lot of value out of your experience and support.

15.01.2022 Do we have any Little Athletes who are interested in the Little Athletics ACT Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship? The scholarship covers the registration fee and a Centre t-shirt. Check out the shared post below for more information.

15.01.2022 QLAC is an approved Active Kids provider, but because our centre is affiliated with Little Athletics ACT, and our registration process is managed in Victoria, the procedure to claim your voucher is a little different. To use your voucher, the preferred method for QLAC is as follows. - Go to our homepage and use the big blue "register here" button http://www.qlac.org.au/. - Follow the process to register your child with QLAC, and pay the registration fee in full. Your child is... now a financial member. - Forward your Active Kids voucher to [email protected]. Include your child's name and birthdate as it appears on the voucher, and your banking details (BSB, account number, account name). We will submit the voucher and refund you. You may see an option to add the Active Kids voucher when you are registering. If you select this option, all the voucher information still has to be sent to us to process. Your child will not be a financial member until this is done. We'll process your voucher as quickly as we can, but please be aware that our committee is tiny. If you haven't already applied for your Active Kids vouchers, go to the Service NSW website https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/tr/apply-active-kids-voucher

15.01.2022 Some Tiny Tots shots from 28 November. We did lots of different sorts of relays, including passing the batton to each other, handing off the ball to the next runner, retrieving, learning about watching out for other athletes, joining the end of the line, taking turns, and some discus throwing drills. And thanks this week goes to Riley, an ex-QLAC athlete, who came along and coached the younger kids in triple jump.... There were heaps of PBs on the weekend too - congratulations to everyone for working hard to improve every week and for supporting your team and club mates.

13.01.2022 Not sure what age group your kids will be in this year? Check out the chart below.
