19.01.2022 Conservation Council of ACT is running a fundraising auction for World Environment Day - there is some amazing items ranging from art, trees, sustainable products and experiences and a really wide variety of price. Happy bidding!

18.01.2022 This planting took place on 22 March 2020 (in compliance with COVID-19 restrictions in place at that time). A total of 200 trees were planted over a period of 2 hours by eight members of QLc. To prepare for the planting rip lines and holes had been dug. Pre-positioning of the trees, stakes and guards made it possible to achieve this excellent result on a lovely sunny day!

15.01.2022 Due to the rapidly evolving situation in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic all Queanbeyan Landcare activities have been postponed until further notice. We had some great things planned this year and we hope to pick these all back up in the future. We will be keeping an eye on things so we can get started again once the current situation improves. Stay safe and well!

07.01.2022 We've come together with Friends of Mt Jerrabomberra and Stringybark to start looking at track upgrades and sanctioning of trails at Mt Jerrabomberra Reserve! ... ' ' ! Tell us about your priorities for this area and help us make community-based decisions by filling out our 5 minute survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/MtJerra20 We've seen the good track work happening elsewhere in the ACT and NSW and we're so excited to be a part of it. Well-planned tracks are inherently good for the environment because they keep people on the track, avoid destruction of significant flora or cultutal heritage items, and don't create erosion. What would you like to see here? MTB tracks? Informative walks? We'd love to hear your thoughts. We're receiving a lot of support from the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council and positivity from recreational groups like CORC - Canberra Off Road Cyclists, and we're looking to garner even more support - so if you'd like to be involved please flick us an email at [email protected] Queanbeyan Age Chronicle : looking at a Grevillea among some tight native flora on the side of a track at Mt Jerra.
