14.01.2022 Here's a look at our new big magnum blade cod chatters. They will come in our 6 standard skirt colours with matching holographic big magnum chatter blades. 1/8,... 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2 oz weights with solid stainless 90lb clasps. the jighead wire is hd stainless as well & a bugger to bend! I am putting on wide gape VMC weedless hooks with our big daddy curly tails on the business end. They will be on sale in the shop later today & will sell for $14.60 which includes 2 extra big daddys! You can choose colour, jighead weight & soft plastic colour so there's one for everyone's preferences. These things swim beautifully & I have also been using them on the deeper reefs here in Hervey Bay & they work like a cracker in the salt as well as the fresh! See more

14.01.2022 OK! let's talk colours for fish! do you all know how depth affects certain colours? The difference between colours for fish that attack because of the colour (l...ike flatties) & the fish that take soft plastics that look like what they feed on (matching the hatch) freshwater fish like bass love our purple ghost colour, dunno why but #DaveyQuinnell swears by them for bass. Flatties love bright colours that attract their attention (pink, gimmie pink says the flatties but our fluro green is just as deadly on them!), barra well our go-to colour for impoundment barra is our alabaster-white! Bream & grunter seem to love a bloodworm or light brown colour, threadies up here in Hervey Bay seem to jump on our c lear colour. Colours lose their colour at certain depths, There's a colour chart below that shows you what colours look like at depth, that's why dark colours like our Blackstar work super well at depth or in dirty water, it's not the colour it's the silhouette that they see! We make a lota colours fish-specific here at Trickys. We just didn't randomly make colours we spent time with a good mate of mine who is a marine biologist nutting out what fish see, what makes them strike at a lure & much more. That's why our gear is so effective! See more

02.01.2022 TrickysLures has got some new stuff! We haven't named them yet so;ok! the best name idea gets all the prototypes & colour combos I have made getting these guys right. We are talking around 10-20 lures here, so the deal is: post your idea for a name, tag a mate who will like the page & next friday me n the proteam boys will choose a winner. I will also throw in a few packs of plastics n post it to the winner.

01.01.2022 I’ve done some thinking lately. I’m Taking the page back in the direction of fishing related material. I encourage everyone to post there catches either on the page or inbox us and an admin will post your catch. We have lost some of our long term followers lately and it’s partly my doing due to inactivity in fishing (covid). But also another party spamming the page with advertising. So no hard feelings but if you find yourself removed from our page this is the reasoning. We will still allow advertising to those who contribute to the page as we always have. On a brighter note I look forward to sharing new content on Kayak, Canoe and Boat based fishing in the new year. I have recently purchased a new boat and look forward to travelling both near and far for both new species and some old favourites
