22.01.2022 Did your Scouts miss out on a spot for World Jamboree? Were your venturers too young for Roverway or World Moot? Have you or your youth members still got the buzz from AJ, NZ Venture or World Moot and can't wait to go on another amazing international event? Well you better sign up for the Australian Contingent to European Jamboree 2020. Without a doubt one of the most amazing opportunities we have as scouts is to attend an international event. EuroJam is going to be huge, and not something Leaders, Rovers, Venturers or Scouts will want to miss. Don't waste any time, make sure you apply now because applications close this week!

21.01.2022 Meet the BYC: Rona!!!! Details - Rona, Venturer, Suncoast Region What you enjoy about being on BYC - meeting like-minded youth members from across the state and having a say in the future of scouting.... What you want to get out of BYC - to further develop scouting in my region and in Queensland and to form connections with scouting members across the state. What you love most about Scouting - I love meeting like minded people who don’t mind getting their hands dirty and giving anything a go. I love the range opportunities, from adventurous activities to personal development programs to leadership opportunities, I am offered that I wouldn’t get outside the movement. The network of friends that you meet in Scouting is absolutely phenomenal and it something I always look forward to. Rona is applying for the Scout of the Year awards! VENTURERS AND SCOUT, you should also! https://scoutsqld.com.au//The-Queensland-Scout-of-The-Year

07.01.2022 Hey Queensland! This is the start of "Meet the BYC", our new series of posts where you get to know each BYC member individually. We are starting with our Executive Members first so let's welcome Ethan Stingel!

04.01.2022 Hey All! I am sure many of you have already met Nick! But for those who haven't: Name: Nicholas Kammin Role: BYC Member, Brisbane North Representative ... Why I enjoy being on BYC: It’s great to see how the changes that BYC proposes can positively affect thousands of youth members throughout the state. BYC gives me confidence and faith in myself to help me promote change. There is also an opportunity to make friends with the same interests in scouting as you. What I want to get out of BYC: Through BYC I want to be able to develop my communication and leadership skills by helping with region and district activities and camps. I want to also try and get involved as much as I can from every level of scouts from my unit to the branch level. What I love most about scouting: Scouting is a place for me and others all around the world where we can go to challenge ourselves to make a change in the world. Therefore, I love scouting because it gives me the chance to try everything that’s thrown at me in a positive environment.

04.01.2022 Remember, even in isolation, we can all continue to honour those who have served and sacrificed! One simple thing you can do is #lightupthedawn at 6am tomorrow on ANZAC day. Many Scout groups will be holding ceremonies tonight over the internet, and many Scouts will be at their drive ways tomorrow morning. The National Commemorative Service will be held from 5:30am AEST. You can tune it on ABC radio and ABC's YouTube and Facebook channel.... Remember to send your photos to: [email protected]

03.01.2022 Hey Guys! While the BYC continues to work on our projects, including one about the Sustainable Development Goals and another about a Youth Lead Media Unit, why don't you meet Shekira!
