17.01.2022 The final events for the QFA 2020 fencing season were held this weekend at Yeronga with the Club 3-Weapons Team Challenge and the Girls Can Fence workshop. Teams from City Fencers Ashgrove and St Lucia Fencing Club fought hard but congratulations go to Team 3 from The Fencing Club who took out the honours for the day. The Girls Can Fence program is about empowering young girls to enjoy being active through the sport of fencing. The workshop included team building activities ...as well as skill development, nutrition specifically for adolescent girls, motivation, and the importance of supporting each other as teammates. It was great to see girls from around the state attending the workshop. The Management Committee would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holidays. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year. QFA membership for 2021 opens on 1 January 2021 through the website.
