24.01.2022 Breaking News.... The Yeppoon event will not being going ahead this year, due to unforeseen circumstances. The Yeppoon race coordinator and race committee appologies for the late notice. Plans for future races in the Yeppoon/Rockhampton region in 2021 are still looking good.

24.01.2022 **Dates for the 2020 season** Thanks for you patience while we roll over the website to reflect dates and sponsors for our 2020 season. The website is still active but it is a living platform that may change over the coming weeks.

22.01.2022 With only 1 race left in the Series, so many teams are only 1 point away from winning the season in each category. Please make sure that your school has paid up your Super Series registration before the Toowoomba event. Many schools have added more teams after Benaraby and prior to Maryborough and may have forgotten to pay their entry fees. If you think this may be you, check with your office for a confirmation receipt. Contact [email protected] in the next couple of days to square away your eligibility.

22.01.2022 QLD HPV Super Series is on hold until the Government removes the restrictions for sporting events. No registrations or fees will be taken until further notice. We are all still very keen to see a few events go through for this year. When the all clear is given, then I will be asking for teams to register and a revised racing calender will be published. A revised points sytem for the series will be looked at as well. Additionally, the release of the ALL NEW "HPV Rally Racing ...Australia" concept event and vehicles will be postponed for at least a further 6 to 8 months. Looking to start this exciting new sport in 2021 or 22, depending on government restrictions. I will, however start releasing some small bits of information about this new version of HPV racing over the coming months just to keep you interested and give you something to think about while you are self isolating. All questions to [email protected]. Stay safe and healthy, and I look forward to seeing all of you at a race track in the near future. ( I hope).

21.01.2022 Toowoomba fast approaches. By now you should have submitted your entry forms for the Toowoomba event. It is promising to be an exciting event by the look of the teams that have entered already. The first batch of Super Series Racing stickers will be going out soon. Dont leave your registrastions too late. Students, chase up your team managers to make sure your team is ready to go before you miss out on the action. The new self scrutineering forms will be posted on the sites by this weekend. Happy planning and we look forward to hearing from you all soon.

19.01.2022 Congratulations to ALL the winners in the QLD HPV Super Series. Thank you all for helping make this new racing series a major success. The final results for the series points are now posted on the web site. In many categories there were some very close competition between a few teams. I would like to thank our Major sponsor for the Super Series this year, Grillex. Without your support we would not of been able to get this series off the ground. ... In a few days the new race calender will be emailed to all school managers and then posted on the two web pages. The first major change is the first race is now a 16 hour Enduro in Toowoomba starting on the 2nd of May 2020. And the final race of the new season will be an 8 hour Twilight race in Bundaberg on the 24th of Oct. Thanks again to everyone involved, rest up, repair your vehicles, and start your planning for the 2020 season which is going to be bigger and better with faster action and closer results than this year.

18.01.2022 With every sporting event on hold with no estimated date of starting again, we are still planning for some races later this year. At the moment, the Bundaberg race in October is still being planned and now the Mackay race organisers have informed us that they have changed the date for their event to the 14th and 15th of November. Yes this is late in the season and they understand that the seniors will not be able to attend but its better then not having an extra race for the... year. The Series Web site will be changed and updated as soon as the ban on sporting events has been lifted. Hopefuly in the next few months. After this, we will be speaking with all race coordinators to see if we can still run a HPV series for 2020 or just some individual events. Stay healthy and keep training, but by yourself and not in groups OK.

18.01.2022 This weekend is Round 8 and the finale of the Queensland Human Powered Vehicle Super Series. 13.01.2022 Gavin Grantz from the Fraser Coast Technology Challenge has asked me to inform everyone that the Maryborough Chamber of Commerce who organise the event has stipulated that no caravans, campers trailers, camper vans, motor homes or pop top caravans are permitted within the camp area or school grounds at this years race. Camp grounds are allocated based on the number of teams each school has entered which means that space is limited. Please be mindful of this when planning your camping arrangements. Look out for an email from Gavin next week and please touch base with him if you have any questions.

11.01.2022 Good luck to all teams competing in the Fraser Coast Technology Challenge 24hr Race this weekend.

09.01.2022 With only two races left in our first HPV Super Series there are still a few schools that have registered their vehicles for the series but have yet to pay the invoice. Any team that has not confirmed payment of registration will not be eligible for Super Series trophies or recognition.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to everyone involved.

08.01.2022 Planning for 2020 I know its a few months away for the new season but already I have had teams concerned about registering for events already for next year. Some of our events are limited to the size of the entry field, so think about where you want to race next year and get in early. Particularly the last race in the series and the last chance to possibly win points is the Bundaberg event with a max of 55 teams only. Already, 25 teams have booked places for this event. So... if you want a spot held for your team contact [email protected]. Teams registered for the Super Series will have priority over non registered teams. Registrations for all events will open periodically throughout the year but some coordinators will accept early registrations by email. Series registration will open on the 1st of February but if you would like to request a particular race number for your team now contact [email protected]. Have a great Christmas and thank you for supporting the 1st QLD HPV Super Series.

08.01.2022 Who still needs race numbers for Maryborough, contact gcsmi1 @eq.edu.au as the last order for numbers is next week

08.01.2022 With only 17 days left until the last and most important decider round of the Super Series starts at Toowoomba. If you havent registered for this race yet, dont worry, you still can. 07.01.2022 Major Race changes for 2020 The Toowoomba race will be starting the year off with a 16 hour event on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of May making this an Enduro race instead of a short race. The Bundaberg event will now be the last race of the season, going to an 8 hour twilight event held on Saturday the 24th of October. ... The other race dates will be locked in soon and will be posted soon after. The new racing rules and vehicle spec document will be posted by the start of February with the new Super Series points allocation system.

07.01.2022 Welcome back to another exciting year of HPV racing in Qld. As schools go back into full swing next week, all racing documents and forms will go live on both this site and our website on Tuesday night. All race event organisers will be accepting schools expressions of interest to attend events from late next week. If you want to secure your teams position on the grid get in early as many events will have a limited starting field. Alternatively, you can wait until they release their offical registration form before trying to enter the event. If fields fill up, teams will be placed on a waiting list for that particular event.

03.01.2022 Benaraby 8 hour race tomorrow, all set for a great day. Under new management, Mark Boyd and his crew have done a great job of providing an exciting track that looks fast and very technical. His volunteers did a tremendous job with helping all the teams through the vehicle inspections and team registration.
