22.01.2022 Amid some mixed emotions I can reveal the Peter Brock Daytona is installed in the museum. It dis mean quite an effort to redefine the layout but happy with the result. The decision was personally a tough one but as an Automotive Historian I feel it to be the right thing to do. For me it brought closure, for most it represents the last chapter in the life of Peter Brock bringing great memories but for some they find it difficult and a smaller number quite critical and mostly ill informed.

21.01.2022 To all the Friends of Qld Motorsport Museum. Merry Christmas and hoping for a fantastic 2019

19.01.2022 If the Qld Govt can see the light we WILL have a Trains Planes and Automobile museum complex at Ipswich. My proposal is in the hands of the Minister right now to populate the currently empty workshops adjoining the Workshops Rail Museum.

16.01.2022 A change to our open hours will take effect from September. We will be open Friday Saturday and Sunday only. We will be open by appointment Monday to Thursday when staff are available. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these changes. The change has been brought about by the need to manage volunteers and reduce operating costs.

16.01.2022 2 years don’t the road and no official response from this proposal. Change of Government didn’t happen which may be a blessing as the Parliamentary Committee for the Inquiry into Motor Recreational Activity remains elected...... now is the chance to follow up with #JimMadden and #JenniferHoward to move the proposal forward in Ipswich - #IpswichCityCouncil have sidestepped the current proposal to them ...... so frustrating and so blind to the potential.....in my mind a go-kart truck under the cinema is just foolish when you have Willowbank track already in place. Watch this space.... and the media......

12.01.2022 A wonderful piece on an icon of my time growing up in Mortdale

11.01.2022 Now this is inspirational. No cotton wool For this kid.

09.01.2022 A great piece of Australian Motor Racing History.

08.01.2022 We moved from Ipswich last year and can’t seem to get rid of the old and keep Argon St. Sumner as the address.

01.01.2022 2nd last weekend. Closing 2nd December - So if you want to visit here’s your final chance to see the Brock Daytona, 1971 front engine rail, a 1930 DeSoto Roadster, USA National Championship winning Offy, 1956 Bowman F3 GP open wheeler, a Maurer F2 BMW M12 open wheeler and much motoring memorabilia. We can all thank the Qld Government for their visionary assistance ( struggle mumble mumble ) over the past 15 years.

01.01.2022 And this says it all .........
