23.01.2022 Q&A: Easing of Greater Brisbane restrictions Q. I’m going to the pub for a family member’s birthday, do I need to wear a face mask? A. You don’t need to wear a face mask in licensed venues IF you are in an area that set aside for drinking or dining but you will need to stay seated while you drink/eat.... If you move to another area of the venue (i.e. gaming room) you’ll need to wear a mask. Masks are also to be worn in areas where you can’t physically distance i.e. entries and exits. More information on the easing of Greater Brisbane restrictions (current until 1am 22 January) and handy Q&As can be found: https://bit.ly/3oDIi5v.
22.01.2022 Under 18s have to PAY $400 if they're caught possessing or drinking alcohol in a public place. 80 minors lost their hard earned holiday money during Schoolies Week 2019 when they received on-the-spot fines for this. Think about what you are really buying your under-18 mate, son or daughter if you give them alcohol for their end of year celebrations. 15.01.2022 Some people gamble to escape problems or feelings. Louise was unhappy in her marriage and with her life. She would make excuses about where she was so she could go and gamble. Sometimes she was gone for an hour, sometimes it was five hours. Problem gambling doesn’t discriminate, it can happen to anyone. If someone close to you is experiencing problems with gambling, help is available, visit www.gamblinghelpqld.org.au. Share this post to help others.
