25.01.2022 Dear QPFA players, members & supporters, After discussion at our recent board meeting, we have decided to cancel the remainder of the 2020 QPFA League season due to COVID-19. This was a tough decision to make, however after taking everything into consideration and with the health of players a priority, we feel it is the right one. ... We are looking at alternatives for the end of the year. If you have any questions, please send them through to [email protected]. 20.01.2022 Dear QPFA members, supporters and volunteers The World Health Organisation (WHO) recently declared Covid-19/Coronvirus a pandemic, with more cases being reported in South-East Queensland overnight. QPFA is continuing to monitor the situation, with the health of our members, supporters and volunteers being paramount. We want to advise that, at this stage, tomorrow's local round at Bowen Hills YMCA will proceed, but we need to be cautious:... - If you are exhibiting flu-like symptoms or simply aren't feeling well, please do not come to sport. Your health and those of our players is paramount; sport comes a very distant second. -As always, practise good personal hygeine. Wash hands thoroughly and regularly, cover your mouth and nose when coughing, and use alcohol wipes to wipe down surfaces prior to using them. - When greeting individuals, refrain from shaking hands or hugging. - For supporters, please sit in the upstairs section if access permits. We also want to reiterate that it is solely at the discretion of our players and teams as to whether they wish to attend or not. For all players, we advise you seek guidance from your medical professionals to determine any health risk. Further, if you therefore decide not to attend, QPFA fully supports your decision and will make all necessary arrangements to support your team. We all love sport, but the health of our members, supporters and volunteers always takes priority. We will advise if anything changes, but please be mindful of the above.
