23.01.2022 As a year to remember draws to a close, we look back on what has been a difficult but successful year for QRS opening our second clinic and performing over 30,000 scans. We hope that things will continue to improve for everybody next year and we can get back to life as we all knew it. We are closed until Monday January 4th. 08.01.2022 From 12 noon today, the Greater Brisbane lockdown will be lifted. Some restrictions will remain in place for all of Queensland until Thursday 15 April. The lo...ckdown has been successful in keeping the movement of people and COVID-19 to a minimum, and as a result, we are able to ease some restrictions. From 12 noon Thursday 1 April: You must carry a face mask at all times. You must wear a face mask at all indoor public spaces and outdoors when you cannot socially distance Cafés and restaurants can return to seated eating and drinking. No standing. 30 people can gather at your home 500 people can gather in public spaces (outdoors) Weddings and funerals are allowed 200 guests These restrictions will be reviewed in two weeks. Importantly, please don't be complacent this Easter Long Weekend. 06.01.2022 We get this question a lot, especially following the requirement for people to wear face masks in other parts of the country. Face masks can be a useful measur...e to help control sustained community transmission. Sustained community transmission is when we have multiple cases of locally acquired COVID-19 where contact tracing and testing is unable to identify how the person was infected. At the moment, there is no evidence to suggest that Queensland has any sustained community transmission. If you live in the greater region of Brisbane, a face mask might be suitable if: You are in a situation where social distancing cannot be maintained, i.e. public transport or a busy shopping centre If your GP has told you to wear one If you are caring for someone who has COVID-19 If you are attending a GP clinic, hospital or ED If you are sick and getting a COVID-19 test Face masks alone will not protect you from COVID-19. It is also vital that other COVID safe practices are followed, including: Washing hands often and thoroughly Maintaining a social distancing Covering coughs or sneezes Staying at home if unwell Getting tested if you're showing any signs of COVID-19.
