25.01.2022 It is time for a coach teams’ competition. Who will be the new Eric Murray Shield winner? The game is on!... MDRA, SEDRA and the DDDRA are competing against each other. They will include their best Target Rifle team score PLUS their best of either their F Class teams or Composite teams in the competition for the Shield. Scores will be calculated using the MSCI table. TEAM COMPOSITION: Each team will have five shooters plus or including a coach. RANGES: 2 sighters 15 counting shots over 900 and 1,000 yards.

Together with the Member Organisations, we would like to thank and acknowledge the work of those who are actively engaged in our community and have continued to make significant contributions to the sport. Four Community Awards will be presented during the 2020 Awards of Excellence: Club of the Year Volunteer of the Year Coach of the Year Official of the Year We will also be recognising a number of community initiatives. 19.01.2022 From breathing techniques to trigger control. This morning these enthusiastic participants practiced some new skills and finished the event with shooting a Long Range Rifle. 17.01.2022 Looking for Women with Firearms for research by PhD University of Queensland student Emma Belgrove. To learn about the experiences of women within the firearms community, she is looking at conducting interviews with women living in Australia who own firearms. Don't worry, information will be de-identified and your responses are confidential. The video call will last no more than an hour and will be about women's perspectives on firearm ownership, gun control, and gun culture ...in the Australian context. 15.01.2022 CAROLS ON THE RANGE 2020 update Covid-19 has made arranging events that require significant pre-planning and financial commitments very difficult. Due to this we will not be conducting Carols on the Range this year. We will shortly commence planning for 2021 and hope to offer the community an even better event.... If you would like to organise a fun family friendly get together on the range, there is the option to book your private Shoot4Fun (age 11+). Gift Vouchers for the GIVEITASHOT events and Firearm Safety Courses are also available and valid for 3 years from purchase date. For more info contact the QRA office on 07 3398 4309. 10.01.2022 Six spots left for next weeks event. Learn the skills of shooting while having fun. Suitable for first time shooters and heaps of fun for those that shot before.... Interesting to see that previous experience doesn't guarantee better results while shooting next to first time shooters ;) It brings a smile to the faces seeing the sometimes competitive attitudes coming out between family members joining the event together.

For those that chose to take the sport on for the long run, we are looking forward to seeing you active with your new club mates.... 02.01.2022 Following the directive from Queensland Health, QRA Office and QStore will defer opening until Tuesday 12th Jan. All Ranges at Belmont Shooting Complex are closed and any working bees suspended. Greater Brisbane will enter a 3 day lockdown commencing 6pm tonight (8/01/21). These conditions will include no organised physical activity. ... STAY SAFE

This two day event will be held on the 23rd and 24th of January 2021 and while participating you support the future of the sport. The QRA Juniors!...
