24.01.2022 Hello I’m PJ! My foster mum tells me I’m a beautiful big boy but she’s only a bit biased! I love the company of other dogs and would prefer a home with a fur friend. My mum says I am very patient and tolerant with my younger foster sister who wants to play all the time. I’m 6 years old so I don’t like to play as much as her and would rather sleep and explore. I’m learning my basic commands and enjoy going for walks but can be easily distracted by other dogs. My foster mum say...s it’s important for you to know that I am 50kgs, but I am very gentle. 20.01.2022 Hey there, I'm Kimba. I'm a very sweet boy who has endless love to give. I'm looking for my forever home. I am quite nervous when it comes to new things and need slow introductions to build my confidence. I do clack my teeth together when I'm nervous and need someone who is patient and understanding, know I'm not aggressive, I'm just unsure and anxious. Once I'm calm and comfortable this noise stops. My foster mum says I'm so brave and overcome most challenges with some encou...ragement and the occasional cheeky treat . My three favourite things in the whole world are food, fetch and endless belly rubs. As I am such an active dog I would love a big yard or property to call home and I need high 6ft + fences to keep me safe. Someone who is able to continue training with me and help me with basic manners is key as routine helps me stay calm and be less anxious. I would prefer someone home more often then not or a fur friend to help keep me company. Outside is one of my favourite places but as my skin is sensitive so I need access to shade. I'm 2 years old and my favourite things are going for walks on my lead, taking naps, recieving many pats and scratches, and following humans around the back yard - especially children they are great! I'm happy to chill outside with other dog friends and I keep pretty quiet too. I love nothing more then coming inside at night time for a cuddle before bed, and I'm happy to sleep in a crate.... I love cuddles with my humans and have been taught to wait until invited onto the lounge. I can get very excited and need reminders on my manners but I am such a good girl and just want to please. I walk well on lead but I am not sure of other dogs- especially big ones, so a home with no other dogs or cats would be best until I build my confid...ence and trust again. 15.01.2022 Hi My name is T’Challa & I’m a handsome hunk of Staffy goodness (& muscle). I am a pretty friendly, average sized boy who has a lot of love to give & my foster mum has helped me learn that love is to be shared. She tells me I give the best cuddles. When I’m allowed, I get up on her lap for a big squishy cuddle. I am still learning basic manners and I know, with a little patience combined with continued training (boundaries), I will learn them all. I might make little mist...akes as I learn, but I have picked up so many new manners in a short time already. I love to play so a big yard where I can run free and be safe would be great. I am also a pretty good body-surfer but can go too deep as I have to stay on a leash to ensure my safety. I haven’t had a chance to meet and greet cats or young children in my life yet so I’m not sure how I’d go - as long as kids understand i need to set the pace with intros, I’m open to see if they like me. 14.01.2022 URGENT: FOSTER CARER NEEDED Take a look at Ubi's big staffy smile, it won't be there for much longer if we can't secure a new foster carer ASAP. Sadly through no fault of his own his current foster home is not working out.... Ubi goes to the vet today for his vet work to be completed he will be dropped off but cannot go back to that carer so HE HAS NOTHING AND NO ONE!! Ubi finds himself abandoned yet again, Ubi is approx 1yo, he needs secure fencing, someone home more often than not. No kids under 12 (as he can be a little boisterous) and finally someone willing to help him be the best dog he can be. 12.01.2022 Hi I am Mack! A sweet, small, and super energetic boy. I absolutely love going for adventures and lots of exercise! I am 17kg~ of a pocket rocket ball of energy. My favourite thing going for runs and walks, but I am still learning my leash manners and much prefer being walked on a harness. I am getting better with every adventure though and only need reminding occasionally not to pull. I really want to be a good boy and further training will help this. I am still pretty young..., so I want to play all the dogs I see. I would love a home with dogs of similar energy to run and play with all day. My foster home has cows and horses which I think are very fascinating and try to play with through the fence by barking. I always am told this is not allowed and I come back when I get reminded. When hanging out at home with the fam bam I am pretty chilled out but I also love to play fetch, tug of war and I enjoy water play too. I will sit when told (most of the time!) and I am learning to stay. I will follow you around cause I just love hanging out and watching what you are do...ing. I do get on with other dogs but I dont have great manners and my approach can be a bit full on. I do settle though and really, really love playing and wrestling and it is great exercise for me too. Young Tully was rescued by our team and came into care just this weekend after being dumped in a pound, and was thriving in her foster home, where she was being well loved and cared for. ... Unfortunately last night Tully had an unfortunate incident and was rushed down to the emergency vet where she has remained ever since, and we now know that the poor sweet darling has three fractured legs. Tully requires specialist orthopedic surgery on her back right leg where she has a fractured tibia and fibula, and her front right leg, where she has fractured wrist bones. Tully has been kept on extensive pain medication and support throughout the night to make her as comfortable as possible while waiting for her surgeries today. In a testament to her absolutely sweet personality, Tully has been very gentle and cuddly through all her veterinary examinations and treatment. She had been starved and physically abused and will probably bear the scars of that abuse on her body for the rest of her life. Equally as damaging as the physical abuse she endured, Luna had been both mentally and emotionally abused as well. Those scars cant be seen but will also be with her for the rest of her life. Luna is also hearing and vision impaired. ... Luckily for Luna, the amazing team at QSAR were committed to helping this girl and with an army of QSAR volunteers, trainers and a great vet, Luna started the long hard journey to putting that awful past behind her and learning how to be the best, happiest dog that she can possibly be. Now Luna is ready to go to a home and is looking for a very special family. 05.01.2022 Dear loyal followers, we need your help tonight. We’re stressed When we started our rescue we promised to make sure we were completely open with you. Share the good times and also let you know when things weren’t so good. To be honest, one of those times is now. Our fundraiser to help save Mase has flopped. We are well well short of our goal and without your help we won’t be able to take future cases like Mase on. We rely on you, our loyal supporters to chip in when we need ...help and Mase is one of those times. Sadly this bub has a severe cleft palate that runs from nose to his soft palate. You cannot see his cleft palate when his mouth is closed but upon opening his mouth it is one of the worst the vets have seen. The owners cannot afford the surgery to save his life. So little Mase has been surrendered to us and makes his way to emergency vets for his initial care. It’s touch and go for little Mase but we need to do everything in our power for precious Mase. The bills have already built up and with him needing to be on an ICU machine, round the clock care as well as formula feeding the costs will continue to rise. He will also require surgery to correct the cleft pallet at approx 8-12 weeks depending on his health condition as he grows so there is a long expensive road ahead for Mase. 05.01.2022 URGENT HELP DONATIONS NEEDED PLEASE SHARE LIKE CRAZY We need your urgent help for LEO. Poor LEO was dumped at the overnight crate at a pound in just terrible condition.... He is extremely anemic and dehydrated. They are going to monitor him throughout the day but he will most likely need a blood transfusion which is costly as we know. But it’s necessary. We need to do everything we can. He has extensive pus deep in the ear canal, however they can’t correct it as this stage as it’s so bad he needs to be put under anesthesia to clean it so they will have to just keep it at bay for now with pain reliever and antibiotics. He’s on a reduced feeding rate and at this stage he doesn’t have refeeding syndrome, but it could still happen due to the amount of food he had access too whilst in the pound. He’s on 1/4 (about 60g) his metabolic needs, then 24 hours later 1/3 (120g) then 24 hours later 1/2 and then 24 hours later the full amount. He’s been administered a capstar, panacur and metronidazole as he has hookworm, giardia and fleas. The costs are building. It’s climbing into the thousands and that’s just factoring the first night. He’s going to need around the clock care and we are crossing everything he doesn’t need ICU for a transfusion. We need to do everything we can for LEO. With no government funding, we desperately need to raise $15,000 for LEO tonight. Can you answer our call for help tonight?
