16.01.2022 We will hold a 'Storm Clean Up Month' in October this year. Previously we held a Get Ready Weekend in November. We have extended the event for the entire mont...h of October to reduce traffic congestion at the landfill and transfer stations and make it easier for residents. A concise list of items that can be disposed of for free during October will be published on our website soon. We want people to get rid of damaged or unused play equipment (trampolines, swing sets), outdoor furniture, barbeques, old sheets of corrugated iron and trim trees and branches from around their homes. These items can become airborne in a storm or cyclone and damage houses or injure people. We will not accept tyres, mattresses, fridges, freezers and air conditioners free of charge during October, as this is not what the storm clean up campaign was designed to encourage.

15.01.2022 Storm clean up month this October. There are lots of items that are ALWAYS free so don’t wait till October to take it the recycling centre!

15.01.2022 A year ago I shared this and while the current situation sees less children going to school it is still just as important at home to use less waste. Think before you buy
