25.01.2022 Its not hard to see where Australian Insurers have been taking lessons from!

25.01.2022 Holden Barina 2013 model has had bumper attached with urethane. On removal of bumper the plastic cover was broken. Not a Holden approved procedure to urethane a bumper cover to bracket.

25.01.2022 QPlus handed back their repairer licence on 12 January - local repairers expect to be carrying out rectification work for the next 2 -3 years

25.01.2022 What a disgrace! This government will need to be reminded come election time.

24.01.2022 Yesterday I moved a notice of motion regarding the Motor Vehicle Repair Industry and the governments failure to implement recommendations it claims to support.

24.01.2022 Will the new model last 2 years? Will Suncorp tell the customer who owns this business?

20.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE Thursday, 20 November 2014 BAIRD LIBERAL GOVERNMENT FAILS TO DELIVER MOTOR VEHICLE REPAIR INDUSTRY REFORM AS FAIR TRADING MINISTER STALLS ON IMPLE...MENTING INQUIRY RECOMMENDATIONS Shadow Minister for Fair Trading Tania Mihailuk has today condemned the Baird Liberal Government for failing to deliver vital reforms recommended by a parliamentary inquiry to improve safety and transparency in the motor vehicle repair industry before the end of the Parliamentary session. The bipartisan Select Committee on the Motor Vehicle Repair Industry found that poor quality vehicle repair practices were putting motorists at risk and a major imbalance exists in favour of insurance companies over smash repairers. The Committee unanimously made 21 recommendations to reform the motor vehicle repair industry. The Baird Liberal Government has committed to implement only one recommendation - a name and shame register of dodgy smash repairers but the Fair Trading Minister has repeatedly stalled on implementing even this simple and straightforward recommendation. Almost two months have passed since the Minister was forced to backtrack and announce a partial name and shame register - yet the Minister still hasnt been able to deliver on this single promise, Ms Mihailuk said. The Fair Trading Commissioner even stated that such a register could be created within Fair Tradings resources yet the Minister has failed to act. Ms Mihailuk said that the Ministers lack of action was symptomatic of the Baird Liberal Governments reputation of being all talk and no action. Minister Mason-Cox has stated in a recent press release appearing on the Fair Trading website that We intend to deliver a considered response at the earliest opportunity. This statement reeks of hypocrisy given that the Minister has buried his head in the sand and stalled on responding to the report or tabling legislation for more than five months. Minister Mason-Cox knows all too well, that after this week, Parliament will not sit again for another six months at the earliest. His delay in formally responding to the report of the parliamentary inquiry was nothing more than a deliberate attempt to stop any reforms occurring before the State election. It is a great disservice to smash repairers and motorists throughout NSW that the Minister for Fair Trading has been unable to draft a simple bill to enact vital road safety reforms.

18.01.2022 Well it had to happen sooner or later - which NSW State politicians family got their car back from Q Plus only to find the rear axle beam bolt dropped out after a few weeks, so lucky to be alive!

18.01.2022 I hope the backbenchers are listening!

17.01.2022 A small impact to the front of this Hiace ended up with the vehicle undriveable because QPlus left a bracket off that connects the clutch pedal to the firewall - end result is the firewall needs to be replaced!

17.01.2022 I dont think this was part of the game plan. Does the new owner honour all the poor repairs that require rectification? http://www.capitalsmart.com.au//capital-s-m-a-r-t-acquire/

16.01.2022 Does this government call this consumer protection? more like insurer protection to protect their dodgy recommended repairers !

14.01.2022 Urethane used to hold parking sensor in place. Returned to pre accident condition - I dont think so!

14.01.2022 What does it say about the media in Australia when a failure like Q Plus does not receive any publicity or scrutiny. Paint and Panel or NCR what are you waiting for? The rectifications keep coming.

12.01.2022 Does this story sound familiar?

03.01.2022 How would you feel getting your new car back looking like this as well as having a loose bolt in the front suspension? We will let the Financial Ombudsman Service decide!

03.01.2022 Owner of this Audi A4 2006 hasnt driven her car in 7 months, due to poor and unsafe repairs by QPlus. Despite being repaired a total of 4 times, these images show the quality or there lack of done by QPlus.

01.01.2022 I wonder how long it will be until a politician experiences what it is like to suffer from poor quality repairs?
