13.01.2022 Hi everyone. As we are not able to hold our monthly meeting this Tuesday, and we haven't yet set up for web-based meeting, I thought I would do an update "Live"... on facebook at the regular meeting time of 10am Tuesday morning (14th April). It will be an opportunity for me to let you all know how we can continue our good work in the community and to announce what may be a very useful online event. Please join me tomorrow - and if you can't then you can watch it later and send through any feedback that you have. It will be very important for services within the Illawarra to watch so that you can work with us to be effective in our communities during what may well be an extended lockdown. See you at 10am online Brian Boulton Chairman Illawarra Suicide Prevention and Awareness Network

09.01.2022 The latest statistics show that in 2018, the suicide rate dropped by 2.5% from 2017. That may not sound like much - but that means that EIGHTY TWO FAMILIES - potentially more than 500 people (directly affected) are NOT left suffering and grieving over the loss of a loved one through suicide. Thats 82 families LESS than the year before.
