24.01.2022 We have been informed there is scammers trying to sell fake entry spots into our event. We cannot stress enough, DO NOT purchase or transfer any money before making contact with ourselves or Queensland Raceways directly. This is one of the main reasons we have a reserve list, we know exactly who has an entry, who is waiting and can confirm details for both parties. We will never transfer an entry without the permission of the entrant.... We will always confirm their details and RACERS account. This absolutely sucks to hear, and we will keep monitoring every post to stop this from happening.

22.01.2022 Spring Matsuri 2020 - CAMPING UPDATE I want to start by saying thank you for everyone’s patience regarding camping at Matsuri. We have been back and forth trying to find the best possible way to follow all guidelines while also keeping everyone happy. GOOD NEWS!!... Camping will be allowed for DRIVERS & PITCREW ONLY. This year, no spectators will be allowed to camp. Camping will only be allowed in two specific areas around the track. These will be set up between Turn 3/6 and between Turn 1/2. There is no camping in the paddock area, in the sheds or down the back straight. We will release a detailed map in the next coming days. We ask that everyone must maintain all social distancing guidelines. Campsites will be marked out and can only have a certain number of people in each, with adequate spacing. Again, more details to come. Camping & Spectator tickets will be available to purchase from Monday 21st September at 12pm here: https://racers.world/event/1428/do/spectate Drivers don’t need to purchase a camping ticket as this is included with their entry, however due to extra costs & COVID guidelines, the +1 with driver entry will not include camping. It will be a spectator ticket only. All pit-crew that wish to camp must purchase a camping ticket. Hopefully, this answers some questions for everyone. We know there will be plenty more and we thank you again for your patience. 22.01.2022 As Always, Passengers are allowed in cars for tandems and train runs at all Matsuris! Make sure you get your armband before heading out on track! Passenger Requirements: Passenger bands are $5 Photo ID must be shown at sign-on container... Wear Enclosed Shoes T-shirts & Shorts as minimum clothing. 16.01.2022 ATTENTION DRIVERS! Scrutineering will take place on Friday afternoon (2nd October) from 4.30pm- 8pm and recommence Saturday morning from 7am! Make sure to have your car up to scratch! Otherwise you will be turned away to fix before allowed on track. See our requirements attached below! Here are our main points we will be looking out for.... Seat belts They are mandatory & must be mounted to factory reinforced areas or have a load spreading plate behind the panel its mounted on. Positive & negative Battery terminals have to be covered/taped up to stop anything shorting out. Battery must also be mounted correctly. Windscreens NO CRACKS on drivers side in drivers line of site or within the wiper arc. Cracks cannot be from edge to edge either. If it is you will be sent away to get a new one. Please send us a photo if you are unsure. Any cracks on windscreen must be taped up. Helmets have to be AS/NZS1698 approval. NO SKULL CAPS. You must have them with you when you come to scrutineering Helmets with damage or frayed chin straps will not be passed . We will also monitor this over the weekend while you are on track. Seats Mountings must be to the original points ( all bolts fitted and tight ) or if you have manufactured mounts or rails they must be of decent quality . If Scrutineers can grab the seat and move it you won’t pass. Tow points Front and Rear must be easily accessible! If we have to tow you whilst on track and it's not easy to get to, your car may be damaged in the process. All Lights must be working - Make sure all of your lights are all working including hazards . You will be sent away to fix them if they are not. Fuel systems this includes fuel lines . Any fuel systems mounted inside the boot/hatch area must be separated by a firewall to the cabin of the car . Also if you have external pumps, they must be mounted correctly. Do you have fuel lines through the cabin of the car ? No joins !! Fire extinguishers They are recommended but not required. One could save your car. If you do have one, please make sure they are mounted correctly. These are a huge hazard in a crash if not secured. If you have any questions ask us below! If you aren't sure about something, send through a photo for us to have a look at. We are looking for simple safety requirements to keep you and others safe while on track over the weekend.
