22.01.2022 Howdy guys, So, I have had to re-tweaked the term 4 schedule And we’re looking at the following weekends:... * 18th Oct * 25th Oct * 1st Nov * 8th Nov * 15th Nov * 22nd Nov * 29th Nov * 6th Dec Juniors Club Championship weekend, and End of Year presentation I had to change from the 13th Dec as that is the weekend of the Australian Junior Championships, and some club members (and coaches) will be MIA. :) I do want to have 2 courts available for the weekend of the 13th though, if there’s interest, so Juniors can still come down and have a last social hit. BUT, let me know if there’s interest for this, otherwise I’ll be inclined to cancel the courts. Cheers Corey

21.01.2022 Howdy guys, Squash Australia has released it’s updated Junior rankings coming into the years end, and the Club has featured more strongly than ever. Squash Australia bases rankings on tournament placings, so it’s not related to SportyHQ rating. :)... In the U11 boys, Josh Markham has come in ranked in the Top 10 boys for his age group, coming in at #10, and Lewis Matthews is inside the Top 20 at #17! In the U11 girls, Ella Matthews may just be the highest ranked player, coming in at an impressive #5 Although, Lucy Keogh matches that achievement, coming in at #5 in the U13 girls! In the U15 boys, even though he played very few tournaments, Harry Swavley achieved a rank of #79! We have a number of top performers in the U17’s boys with Jack Keogh hitting inside the Top 20 at #15, and both Tayte Wildie (#37) and Will Noud (#43) coming inside the Top 50. Also Sohan came inside the Top 100 with very few tournaments, at #95. :) In the U19 boys, Cam Cortes with very few tournaments under his belt also came in at #83 Everyone should be incredibly proud of even being ranked, and big congratulations to all. :) Corey

17.01.2022 Howdy guys, So, this is to touch base on our last few sessions. So, this Sunday (22nd) we’ll be running a slightly reduced coaching schedule (2 or 3 courts, depending on numbers) mainly because NSW Junior State titles are on, and I’ll be away.... BUT, Gary, Sal and others will be there to carry the flag for me. :) Next Sunday (29th) is our last official Training session. Please note also that a local tournament, the Canberra Cup is also on that weekend and is a great little beginner tournament for anyone to dip their toes into. Sunday 6th December is our Club Champs. Remember guys, the UC courts are out of action for this w/e, so we’ll be holding this at WODEN. Where, I hear you say? We're truly spoiled to have such a great bunch of kids. 09.01.2022 The NSW Junior State Titles were held over the weekend, with a number of Qbyn Juniors playing at the event!!!! Our very own killer Queen, Lucy Keogh, blitzed the weekend to take out the u13s girls title. Josh Markham came 4th in the u11 boys.... Jack "never smiles" Keogh came 5th in the u17 boys. And our honorary Qbyn Juniors, Ella and Lewis Matthews gave it all they had in the u11 girls and u11 boys respectively. Great job guys!!!! Super proud of everyone. :)

07.01.2022 Howdy guys, Just a reminder that Juniors Training kicks off again this Sunday And, for our Pennant kids, that I believe Pennant starts up again on Friday night.... Div 3 is at Dickson, and other Divs at Woden but you should get a reminder from your Div coordinators. :) See you then! :D Corey

07.01.2022 Howdy guys, Welcome to the new year!!! Hoping everyone is having a safe and fun Holiday break! ... Just touching base with everyone, confirming entries for the Juniors Competition this Semester. Please note that the Juniors Competition allows for players to be <23 years old so, if you’ve turned 19 or are about too, and want to keep playing the Juniors, you can. :) If you do intend to play, no need to reply I’ll be assuming that everyone who played last season is playing this season. Please only let me know if you DON’T intend on playing, so I can adjust my player list. Similarly, if you (or your child/ren) didn’t play last season, but would like to, then please let me know and we’ll look at it. I’ll be in touch a little later about this Semesters training schedule and costs, but please know that the UC courts are now open for bookings, if you want to head down for a hit. Josh and I have been down, and they have installed new floors on the courts they look fab! :D Corey

04.01.2022 A huge well done to our Queanbeyan Squash Club Juniors who flew upto the Australian Junior Championships in Gold Coast. Our Killer Queen came 3rd in the U13 girls, and won the U15 doubles with her partner from Yass, Denver. Josh Markham played off for 5th place in a talented u11 boys division. ... And Jack Keogh played off for 9th in the u17 boys, and played off for 13th with his doubles partner, in the u19 mixed doubles (No photos of Jack unfortunately)
