20.01.2022 How can hairdressing tackle poverty? Meet our hero @hairaidinc Hair Aid Inc have a multi-dimensional impact model through international + community projects.... They work directly with people living on the street, slum communities or ladies rescued from the sex trade and prostitution gangs. Teaching the skills of hairdressing allow these people to start their own micro-business and create an income across 4 Asian Countries Hair Aid Inc also recruit and coordinate volunteer hairdressers to provide support in their local communities. They work with community groups, charities, organisations and church groups to support those in need, suffering or in crisis with free hair cuts. How can you help? 1. Donate 2. However very little was mentioned to further social housing initiatives, environmental commitments or measures to address some of the more problematic gender, cultural, all-ability and older-age employment disparities in the current Build Back Better environment.
