16.01.2022 Been a while since we posted on this page. Looking to post regularly in the future. So what have we been up to over these Covid times? Well our production department that does sound and lighting has been practically non existent as all larger events are still not able to go ahead, but we have been flat out in our recording studios producing several EP’s and Albums for local Gold Coast and Queensland acts and several audio books, demo reels, Voice overs, Ads and even some audi...o for a television shows During all of this work is almost complete on our new studios which will be a huge change for the music industry on the Gold Coast as a world class tier one faculty is about to open its doors. Complete with a fully refurbished SSL6000 E console, a 48 channel beast that’s pretty famous (the mix console from metropolis) the new studios also feature, Australia’s first tangerine automation system for the ssl and a killer array of outboard gear including Neve, Ueri, Blacklion audio, UA, Pultec, API, Warm Audio, Avalon and Eventide. Here’s a mid construction sneak peek into the spaces.

08.01.2022 Yes Qsound remains open! The health and safety of our clients is our number 1 priority and we take the current situation very seriously, we will remain open as long as possible, but, during the Covid 19 outbreak we have made some changes to keep you all safe, here are the measures we are taking at Qsound. Overall rules; If your sick stay home. ... (No cancellation fee will be incurred) Recording 1. All mixing is done off peak (allowing only the engineer in the control room to keep to social distancing and 1 person at a time) - mixes will be delivered via drop box only during this time. 2. All pop filters washed and alcohol sanitised after every session. 3. All headphones sprayed with Isoproply alcohol and Sanitiser after every session Rehearsals 1. Rehearsals are now limited to one band per evening. 2. We ask bands to adhere to the social distancing regulations of 1.5m. (Which means no more than 3-4 people in each room) 3. If you need more people to rehearse in the space you will need to use both rooms with room mics setup, this service is an extra $25 per rehearsal on special. (Includes the use of the 2nd room and the setup of condenser Room mics in each room, that shows up on a channel on the console in the other room. (So what ever is played in one room can be heard through the PA speakers in the other and visa Versa and volume is controllable) - the window baffle also comes down to allow visual communication through the sound proof window. 4. 05.01.2022 The Convicted band just released their first single, mixed and mastered by us, both these fine songs were recordings & samples the band had done themselves within their home studio environments (a common scenario and one that really helps foster creativity), They then bought the tracks to us to take it over the finish line with professional mixing and mastering done by Scott, our head mix engineer at qsound.
