24.01.2022 So glad to be over mask making. Hope there is never another frenzy but there are enough in stock to cope for a while. Back to what I enjoy. 3 panels quilts ready for pinning and quilting for Mother's Day achieved today. Also 2 panels for boys that are not cot quilts. Need the bigger ones finished by Friday so they can go to the Bay Saturday. Pinning 1 tonight ready to start when I get back from the pool.

23.01.2022 Slowly working. 2 down 5 more to go and 4 more quilts came in this week. People must have been busy during lockdown.

23.01.2022 Just back the 3rd day at the shop. Today was turnaround day. We literally moved every stick and stitch around for a whole new shop look. Sore back and dicky knee, had a doze and ready to tackle the garden tomorrow. Been putting it off far too long.

23.01.2022 Seen so many delightful fabrics while mask making. Finally finish them today. 172 done.

22.01.2022 Absolutely love this quote. Im tidy, not sqeaky clean

22.01.2022 The rest of my owl bags. 2 handbags, made 1 for granddaughter Lily a few years ago. Will put the wool away where it belongs now.

21.01.2022 Another busy week. Got more elastic so finished another 30 masks, which have been walking out the door. Also got 1 cot quilt and 4 lap quilts finished. Need to do more cot quilts this week as I can't keep up with them. Edit: Mermaid cot quilt lasted 3 days before selling and the blue scrap one lasted 2 days.

21.01.2022 Working on customers quilts this week for a change from stock. Same old but different delivery place. Off to Rocky again for the weekend and come back to make more masks as well as some replacement stock, but not quilting hopefully. Bit over it at the moment.

20.01.2022 Back to my creative place. Playing with my yarn stash and solvy to make these scarves.

19.01.2022 Absolutely love this quote. I'm tidy, not sqeaky clean

18.01.2022 No production yesterday. Hurt my crook knee at aqua aerobics yesterday so spent a lot of the day at the hospital after getting a jury excusal. Back into physio and hope to sew today with my leg elevated. Why do these things happen when you are so busy? See the GP next week for a MRI to check the damage, Xray all good.

17.01.2022 Ever wondered how to check the firmware on your machine? In this video I take you through how to check, download and install the latest fimware to keep your BERNINA running at its best. Happy Stitching Everyone- Bree Ledingham| Area Manager| NSW/ACT

16.01.2022 Sewing table, Check. Ready for production again. Making progress.

15.01.2022 Finally have the house clean, curtains and cushions washed, spare room rearranged. As my lovely daughter said, "Don't wait for another pandemic to do it". And I've done a Salvos run this morning so can't change my mind on anything. So now that's taken care of, I can get back to real work. Ready to pin. I think I'll stipple the whole thing. Re-opening The Gift Bag on Monday, 11th so there's been a fair bit of behind scenes work happening for that to go ahead as well. I'll... be so glad when life gets back to the new normal. Finally bought my propane torch so playing with copper is next on my list, but first, a hair cut and new pink fringe.

15.01.2022 Another busy week. Just finished quilting this single bed quilt ready for The Gift Bag tomorrow.

15.01.2022 Made a stack of masks last week, they lasted 3 days in the shop so cutting again tomorrow with 2 days in the shop. Managed 2 cot quilts in Rocky and the quilts keep coming. I'm going to consider only doing mine for a while.

14.01.2022 Back to quilting. Sold 2 lap quilts, 2 cot quilts and large single/double quilt in 5 days. Was worried this was too full on green no problem anymore. Down on the floor pinning 4 lap quilts to start quilting tomorrow. No end to it at the moment.

14.01.2022 Lounge sewing area in operation.

14.01.2022 Big morning at the machine and afternoon hand stitching binding. Done.

14.01.2022 Quilts from previous post.

13.01.2022 I'm currently only in the downstairs studio and lounge room. And the floor is clean.

13.01.2022 Panic buying of masks continues. Everyone has to have a couple or 5 apparently. Spent all yesterday cutting, now ready to sew 172 masks. I hope this is the last time. I think I've made 160 so far. Time to find something on TV worth watching to relieve the boredom.

13.01.2022 Another 1 down. Unicorns for a 5 year old. A log cabin quilt next, then 6 cot quilts started. After that, a very large silk heirloom quilt which will be a challenge. Building up to it. But best news of all is I can have visitors next weekend from Rocky. Long time since December.

12.01.2022 Have achieved while I had my leg up. 5 Reading Pillows with book ready for the shop. Really dislike embroidery machines. Not only can't I control it, they lie. Design said 21 minutes, actually took 90 minutes each. 5 designs all day.

10.01.2022 Another 72 masks finished for delivery this afternoon. Only 3 adult ones left from Tuesday's lot. 51 cut out but I'm running away for a few says. Who can blame me.

10.01.2022 Im currently only in the downstairs studio and lounge room. And the floor is clean.

10.01.2022 Another busy week. Centre display quilt sold as well as 2 large xmas hangers. Replacements and 3 cot quilts and an extra as well as a peanut pillow order. Maybe now I can get to the embroidery machine. Not much left in the stash.

09.01.2022 Adorable sock doll project for you & your kids

08.01.2022 Enough said. Now I'll try the sewing table again.

08.01.2022 Bugger!!! Just finished the last area in my studio. Now I'm going to have to start on housework. Breakout for me is another week. The house WILL be clean for another 6 months before then.

07.01.2022 Bugger!!! Just finished the last area in my studio. Now Im going to have to start on housework. Breakout for me is another week. The house WILL be clean for another 6 months before then.

06.01.2022 Have people screaming for masks so Margaret and I have been making some. Have most of these in a smaller size as well. Will be in the shop Monday after the family have their pick. Never thought I'd go into production on face masks.

06.01.2022 This should be my mantra as well as being allergic to dust

06.01.2022 A friend in Gladstone demoing this. We always get vliesofix on the iron no matter how careful we are. Thanks Marguerita Dobrinin

06.01.2022 Enough said. Now Ill try the sewing table again.

05.01.2022 Back at work again so making a mess already

04.01.2022 The cows have been a big hit so enlarged the menagerie with these little bunnies.

04.01.2022 Ended up in Rocky. Started to quilt yesterday and the new machine jammed. Waiting for a call from my old machine mechanic, Peter Nicholson, to see if he can get me going again. I own 3 machines and obviously brought the wrong 1 with me.

03.01.2022 My weeks work so far. I was trying to get these car coasters in the shop for Fathers Day. Done now. 2 sets heading to Rocky for xmas presents as well. Beer mug restock and little fabric bags for gift giving. Jury duty next 2 weeks so have no what I'll get done. More coasters I hope.

02.01.2022 Delivered another 92 masks yesterday. Thankfully, demand has slowed right up so these should last some time. Time to think about Mothers Day again. Got 2 panels I thought would be nice so that's this weeks work. But first, the garden needs attention.

02.01.2022 Ready for the machine today.

01.01.2022 May have to do a rush trip to Rocky this afternoon for a few days so worked late last night to get these pinned ready so I can work while kids are at school. Demand for cot quilts never seems to die and finding different panels at the right price is a real challenge.
