25.01.2022 BRA HAS BEEN DONATED One of our members is wanting to donate this huge bra they built about 5/6years ago. It was made to decorate their 4wd for a Breast Cancer research fundraiser aptly named Save the Tatas Run and it took out Best dressed Vehicle on the day. The fundraiser was put on the map with a huge 4wd turnout and made the 4WD Action magazine.... If anyone knows of a worthy cause or place to display they are happy to donate it. It belongs on a nice rack somewhere. Size: 1500w x 650h See more

25.01.2022 Trip Report: Matts Collie Trip We had an awesome weekend and tore through a few tracks we have done before but not for a few years. Trip started saturday morning and we did edwards road from Worsley through to beela road. We then headed up the big muddy hill into big tree area and did a few of our old tracks including slippery hill.... Tracks were rutted muddy and a good challenge. Highlight of the trip and a massive shout out to Barb who smashed every track the big-boyz-toyz did in the mighty zook! Was awesome to watch. Also shout out to our great mates from downsouth . Was very good to catchup with some familiar faces. Most headed home, myself and alphabet found a camp spot had a few beers and cooked a mean steak on the fire. Club members: Matthew J and navi alphabet Mitch W and navi Steven W Barb Perth Visitors Saul H and Kids 200s cruiser - mate of matts Josh N Ref GU- mate of Mitches. Downsouth Crew Visitors JB and navi Ryan Jeep Loz (zookini mcgee) and navi Finchy The zook Ivan D - Jeep Mitch and Nicki Chopped GU Richy and Family - GQ 10 cars total.

24.01.2022 We have just got back from our surf and turf trip! What an amazing trip. The club stayed at binningup caravan park and started the weekend with a steak cook off on friday night. Here we learned Matty J eats too much green nonsense with his meat and Matty M gets a bit grumpy when he sees green stuff... Saturday we headed off for brunswick had a quick debrief with our members and visitors and aired down. By the first hill we already had a casualty with Shannons navara breaking... a CV. We managed to pull him though the tough stuff and get him out to safety at the end of the day. We tackled a number of our usual tracks and the bigger cars had a go at some of the tougher stuff. We all managed to get through without any major recoveries. A special mention (and fine) for Cristi who unknowingly tried red hill in 2wd for 15mins before realising the mistake and making it up... Although she made every other track look like a sunday drive. By 3pm we headed back to town and a few of us hit the beach for a swim and had a beer at sunset where we were lucky enough to watch a young whale breeching! Sunday we packed up camp and headed for the sand. We setup a small gymkhana with our club equipment. Sunday was ladies day and all the girls made the blokes look useless. Everyone had a go at the tracks and it was a blast... Collette had the first attempt in the colorado and made it look easy completing all the climbs first attempt Cristi had an amazing run but craig kept giving her wrong directions and squealing when the turbo made noises which left her at an obvious disadvantage Candy made the track look easy after having two cracks at one of the more difficult climbs Andrea came out of the blocks strong in the Hummer. After getting hungup on an awkward turn completed the whole track. The boys also had a go at the track but in all honesty made it look alot harder than it had to be... well Chris and Jake made it look hard At completion it was voted Collette won the 2020 Surf and Turf Ladies Gymkhana ( in the most standard car on the beach!) Thankyou everyone for an amazing trip! See you at the next one. Lake Towerinning 6-8th November. Fines: Cristi- running red hill in 2wd Matt J- for bringing Salad Matt M- for letting salad make him grumpy Collette- talking to herself on the wrong channel Craig- squealing and getting his lefts and rights mixed up Members: Matt J 105 series Collette Colorado Craig gu Jake and Candy gu Chris GQ Matt M Jeep Paul Prado Visitors Ray and Andrea Hummer Shannon and Toni Navara Cristi 105 series

24.01.2022 Hello everyone, just a reminder of a few upcoming events! We have a social night this Tuesday at Pot Black in North Perth. Come down, meet a few of the members, have a chat about upcoming events and play a bit of pool. Long weekend 25th - 28th September we have a camping trip down to the Pemberton area. Suitable for slightly modified 4x4s and swags/tents/small camper trailers. Make sure to message the page if your interested in coming along to either of these events :) Cheer...s, Jake, Trip Coordinator See more

24.01.2022 What a weekend, what a club! This weekend we had two entries in the everyday 4x4 challange in comp and modified classes. As well as our amazing members marshaling. Gavan and Craig findlater absolutely dominated in comp class in the PSR (poo stain racing) GQ comp truck. Matty Murace and Matt J worked hard in modified class to get the 2 inch lift jeep through some tough as tracks and managed to get stage done the old scool way without a winch but with a hi lift jack and track... building. Word is the navi is still recovering Chris and Sandra marshalled all weekend in the sun with their usual big smile and great fun attitude, we are very lucky to have you guys in our club. We also had members Adrian, Shane and Danny along and visitor and Friend Padraig. When we had bush repairs to be done between stages it was all hands on deck The weekend finished with some cowboy hats, a rodeo, a big party and some stories that shouldn’t be shared ... a special thanks to craig who tied a knot in my sleeping bag, which was fun to stumble back to and figure out at 2am ... Thanks for an epic weekend!!

23.01.2022 Never keen on crossing here when the creek isn't flowing...bit of a stinky mess...only a month ago this would have been clean flowing water...the 35s on the old GQ just got through the middle so we sent the rest around the side.

23.01.2022 Loooong weekend next weekend! We have our Southern Forests trip down to the Pemberton area. Plan is to set up camp river side, and do a few day trips exploring and 4x4ing. A mix of forest tracks, beaches and dunes including Callcup Hill. So if bush camping, 4x4ing and spending nights around the campfire in the South West sounds like your type of weekend make sure to contact the page!

23.01.2022 Good morning from cervantes! Off on our beach run this morning.

22.01.2022 We are getting back in the swing of things this weekend (or long long weekend if you took monday off) with a relaxing trip to lake brockman. This will be an easy trip probably more social than 4x4ing to kick off the year. We have some boats and ski’s coming and will be bringing the club trailer with gazebos and bbq. ... If you are keen to join please message us or find us on the lake, we’ll have the banner up. Hope to see you there. Ps. Close enough for a day trip too

22.01.2022 Some video footage from our trip down south.

22.01.2022 Sometimes we go sneeking in the night around Mundaring State forest...

21.01.2022 UPCOMING TRIP: Matts Dwellingup trip. Sat 20th June... Will be a run through part of Fawcett track ending south of Dwellingup. Can finish and head home sat afternoon or follow me to a camp site for sat night. Bring: Recovery equipment suitable for decent 4x4ing. Will be muddy and wet First aid kit. Camping gear you can take in vehicle. I will not be stopping at camp spot sat morning. Trip not ideal for trailers unless you are happy to drag it through rough stuff. I am planning to decide on camp spot on the day depending on time. Will either be river based or we may make it through to harvey area. Visitors welcome. For time and meeting point details give me a shout Matt 0477154061

20.01.2022 This coming weekend the club is doing a beach 4x4 and fishing trip up around Cervantes. Fairly easy going beach & sand driving, with stops for lunch, swimming, fishing along the way. Come up for a day trip Saturday or stay and camp the night. Contact the club if your interested in joining us!

20.01.2022 Totally missed the big 800 on the LIKE clicker. Big shout out to all the critters on the trails keepin it real and liking our lil crew... Keep on taking out what you take in and leaving nothing but good memories...... Thanks for all the interest in trips...hope you get to squeeze in with us on some of them and maybe even join the club after a few trips... ...we will put some more up soon... We have a fair few members already tracking along with us on most trips so unfortunately we can only take a handfull more with us. We generally aren't keen on turning the trails into peak hour on the freeway...Haven't met anyone who enjoys that... Drive safe and keep exelent for everyone...with a bit of luck we mite just catch you out there one day.

20.01.2022 New year's deals...get on over to chech em out.

20.01.2022 Trip Report: Toodyay Weekend This weekend Quad Drive attended a private property event we attend every year and as usual it didnt disapoint. Many of us started on Friday night with dinner in Toodyay followed by a few beers by a big fire. Saturday morning saw 14 cars in convoy tackling everything including mudholes, rocky gullies, valley runs and a scenic run through the back of the property. Throughout the day we had a number of snatch and winch recoveries using both persona...l and club recovery gear. All were performed safely and successfully using bridles and multiple dampers as required. Gavs comp truck made an appearance after a marathon effort they arrived at 2am saturday only to have engine dramas and fall back on the trusty 105 series for the afternoon. We had a number of familiar faces from the club and some visitors along. Lochy and Bill in the telstra van, Josh in the 4.8 patrol and returning members Tommy and Deegan Langham in Deegans Hilux. It was awesome to see Deegan who has grown up around the club return on his P Plates with his own car and drive so well. This also made alot of us feel very old.... Saturday night finished with some mayhem in the skid pit followed by some group cooking using the clubs trailer setup and a few drinks. Matt Muraces passenger Magic lived up to his name by giving us a campfire magic show and had us all speechless as he delivered disappearing tricks, card tricks, coin tricks and various other mind boggling stunts. We had a great club trip with an amazing group. Not only were the tracks awesome fun it was great to see the club together using our club equipment to make a great weekend. Fines: Jake Mueller: Losing an SD Card full of footage in paddock grass after making us stand in a paddock for 30mins taking photos of us Jasen Nunn: For coming on a 4x4 trip and not 4wding Gavan Findlater: for not making sure his car works before towing it to toodyay at 2am Adrian Stewart: For forgetting to engage 4wd and getting stuck in a mudhole. Members: Matt J and Collette Jake and Candy Matt Murace and Magic Adrian Stewart Mitch Waterhouse Craig Findlater Gavan Findlater Barb Paul and Marg Dennis Jasen Nunn Vistors: Tommy and Deegan Josh Lochy and Bill

16.01.2022 Thanks to everyone that attended the meeting last night. The club is heading in a great direction so wanted to summarize the meeting and what has been happening. We had two new memberships passed in last night. Tommy & Kelly Langham and also Deegan Langham. The Langham family has been a huge part of the club in previous years and I am very glad to have them back as active members. 9 visitors attended the meeting last night. A few of whom are only a meeting or trip away from ...being nominated for a membership. Peter from Opposite Lock attended last night. He offered some great advice around recovery points, offered continued support for our members and donated 12 boxes of Track Grabbers recovery devices. We will keep some in the club recovery bags and look at raffling the rest for the benefit of the club. Having these relationships in the 4x4 community is part of the reason we join a club and we are very glad to have the support of Opposite Lock. Chris and I are organizing some flyers and media (photos and videos) to go in the 4wd Association Tent at the 4wd show. Flyers will encourage visitors to contact the page for the November Cervantes beach trip. 4x events have been run in the last 4 weeks, which is great to see. There are already trips and events booked in October, November and December. Jake is doing a great job getting the information out and will follow up with an updated trip list soon. LETS GO 4x4ing!

12.01.2022 We are just back from our first catchup of the year where we spent the weekend down at lake brockman on the water and eating pizza adrian made us from his mobile pizzeria thanks to all the members and future members that attended. More of a social catchup to kick off the year this one. This tuesday 2nd feb is our first general meeting of the year. We are trialing tuesdays for a little while. 7.30pm at noranda sports complex. 11.01.2022 A big Thanks and Merry Christmas to Wilbinga Shacks crew and all the supporters and volunteers over the years for maintaining safe access to one of our most popular beach destinations north of Perth...the recent unfortunate purge of bushland by fire is well known now and all that's asked is to respect a couple of easy rules so nature can regenerate. With carefull management and support from regular visitors we can keep this place a public beach playground. Regards

11.01.2022 Wilbinga Hill climb

11.01.2022 A few more photos of some patrols getting hot in the sand from our last trip. Jake Mueller Chris AlphaDorobet

09.01.2022 URGENT!! G'day...due to a recent work injury I am unable to lead the trip out to Preston beach this weekend...unfortunately other club members were not available to take the reigns so I have cancelled the 15th Dec Preston Beach trip. I send my sincere apologies for the mess around.... If you still are considering to check out that end of Perth...just remember a few things. It going to be extremely hot and as inviting the beach seems the shire will more than likely impose a fire and movement ban when condition reach unpredictable levels. If all is well though... You can enter the beach from Peston beach Carpark. Let all your tires down to 12psi and lock hubs before driving on the sand. A UHF radio and shovel will help in recovery situations. If your car starts to bog...don't panic...stop...straighten your steering wheels...reverse back slowly...get out of the car an test the sand conditions before continuing on your trip... Don't forget to take plenty of water, food and sunscreen. Check local weather and fire conditions to confirm a safe passage for the trip. Tell someone reliable where you plan to be before leaving the black top. Regards and enjoy your weekend...

09.01.2022 More of us stomping around and stretching our legs in Julimar State Forest...

09.01.2022 Grabbing some recovery points this morning for Collettes ute as she is keen to have a go at Toodyay and Binningup upcoming trips. Many of the upcoming trips are a great intro to our club and 4x4ing but you must be prepared for recovery. It is a requirement on our trips that cars have rated points front and back. Collettes car will have a set of these front and a recovery hitch in the towbar reciever. If you need help with recovery equipment please message the page and we w...ill gladly offer some advice. Matt J

09.01.2022 Collettes ute got some recovery points from Opposite Lock a few months ago. Finally got around to installing them ready for some beach work. Looks like we might be taking two cars on the next few trips.

07.01.2022 We are just back from our Christmas wind up trip to Lake Towerinning. We filled three of their massive bays with club members and visitors and between us rocked up with two boats and a jetski for some fun on the water. This was a social trip with no 4x4ing but a great lakeside campsite where we wakeboarded, scurfed and biscuited all day until we were sun fried. After a big day in the sun we got into our op shop prom outfits for the Christmas party and had a big cook up... on the club bbq followed by two amazing cheesecakes made by Cristi. For the second time we were treated to a show by our unofficial club magician Magic who had us all bamboozled with his tricks. Magic now has Maddy Langham and Collettes pin numbers and Cristis Watch. We also held a brief final general meeting for the year where were welcomed a favorite visitor of our club Cristi into the club as a financial member. Cristi has a 4x4 keenness that suits our club to a tee and we are keen to have you on more trips.... the only condition to the membership is that she now brings cheesecake on all trips.... Although this is the wind up trip there are more on the horizon so please keep an eye on the page for more details.
