Here are a few tips that may help... Layer layer layer!! a light jacket over a summer tank top is a perfect transitional look Lightweight long-sleeve blouses to pair with shorts or skirts during the day and pants in the evening Cropped pants or culottes are just right for this in-between weather, paired with some white sneakers Add sleeves! - sleeved dresses are weather appropriate this time of year it makes you just that little bit warmer if your arms and shoulders are covered What are you wearing today?

22.01.2022 The inverted triangle describes a body type with broad shoulders, narrow hips and a straight waist. This is the least common body type in women, which can make it a little challenging to find just the right jeans. It's well worth the effort, though -- a pair of jeans that hugs your curves in all the right places will make you feel confident in your everyday wear. So what exactly, should the perfect jeans do for your body? First of all, they should accentuate those petite ...hips and slender legs. They should also add definition to your waist and create a fuller look for your rear end. For inverted triangles, it's not about hiding what you have -- it's about making the most of your natural curves Pockets are one tool in your beauty arsenal. Medium-sized patch pockets that are placed on the largest part of the derriere will create more fullness. Side pockets can help accentuate your hips, and cargo-style pockets work well for the inverted triangle shape, too. The cut of the jeans is very important for showing off your shape. Jeans that are mildly tapered to the knee and then have a slight flare at the bottom can give you more of an hourglass shape. Jeans with a rear yoke (the section of fabric below the waistband) will accentuate your bottom, and jeans with a low rise and a contoured waistline highlight your hips and define your waist. I'm happy to help any beautiful inverted triangle ladies find the perfect pair

14.01.2022 What's important to remember is any shaped body can good look good in the right pair of jeans. So if you have a triangle shaped body (hips are wider than shoulders, often with a small waist) here are a few tips for choosing the right pair for you! Bootcut and flare jeans are great for streamlining the look of a triangle shaped body. These denim styles feature a straighter leg fit that widens just below the knee, belling out into a roomie hem. The fuller shaping at the botto...m helps visually to offset wider hips and thighs, providing balance for your triangle shape proportions. These jeans are also a cinch to wear over tall boots, or for stylish wear, with high heels and flats. If you love the look of skinny jeans but have never felt comfortable wearing them on your triangle-shaped figure, then a straight leg jean is a good alternative. These jeans are cut to have a slim silhouette, which will look "skinnier" on a triangle-shaped body. It's good to keep in mind that dark wash jeans are most effective for making your bottom half look slimmer. This doesn't mean always wearing dark denim though. You can look great in trendy black jeans and other saturated colours, such as deep burgundy, smoky grey, or dark olive. Drawing attention to your top half is a fabulous fashion trick when you want to look slimmer and balance a bottom heavy figure. Wearing lighter coloured tops with a darker denim will even your figure out beautifully. I offer free body shape consultations....which is a great place to start

13.01.2022 Hello You haven't seen me on my page for a while. Although I have continued to see clients, there was a part of me that felt pushy promoting my services at a time of uncertainty but I have come to realise that although consumer priorities have changed and many aspects of our lives remain in flux , I am of the firm belief that getting up and dressing each day is good for our mental health. ... As millions of people find themselves unable to leave their homes (if they are lucky enough to have them) plunged into physical estrangement from the outside world, the question crossed my mind: Who do we dress for when we get up and put our clothes on each day? Is it a decision we make for ourselves? Or for the eyes of others partners, friends, family or colleagues? It’s a difficult question to resolve, not least because nobody likes feeling as though they style themselves for the approval of others. The short answer is that it depends; dress has a multitude of functions. Dress is practical: it protects us from the elements but it is also social and emotional. It is a way of expressing our individualism and defining our roles. That is why most people have work clothes different from their "home clothes" and the infinitely more fun category of going-out clothes. Right now all of these categories have been blurred, and people have become confused. Our bedrooms have become our offices and our kitchen bench our local bar. SO maybe try something for me. Choose something you would normally wear to work and wear it around the house or on the week-end. Experiment adding white sneakers, a casual scarf or a denim jacket to make it look more casual. I guarantee that getting up and getting dressed each day will help the way you feel about yourself. #personalbrandphotography

07.01.2022 I am told by my oval shaped women that shopping for jeans can be tricky as often they find jeans are tight on the tummy but loose on the leg and the bottom just hangs! So here are a few tips to follow to ensure you find the right jeans for you! Flaunt your assets. Oval shaped women tend to have slim legs so go for a straight leg, skinny or crop styles. The girlfriend style could be an option as it’s a slimmer version of the boyfriend jean. *Something to note jeans that hid...e your leg shape will make you look bigger than you really are! Just because you have a fuller tummy area doesn’t always mean you need a high rise jean. Oval's tend to be short waisted so it’s important to know your rise before you start. If the rise sits on or over your belly button it’s a good indication it’s not for you. Adding more fabric to your problem area or digging in when sitting down doesn't do you any favours (let me know if you need help working out your rise) Always choose a jean with at least 1-2% Lycra mix in the fabric content (check the label inside the jean). This is important for comfort and for keeping the shape. Lycra & Elastane do the same job. Pump up your derrière: Oval ladies tend to have flatter bottoms than their curvy sisters. So the key here is to look for a jean that will give your bottom depth. Flap pockets are good for this as they give the illusion your bottom has shape. I'm aware jean shopping can be a minefield. I'm here to take the guess work away for you!!

04.01.2022 There is nothing more satisfying than finding the 'perfect' pair of jeans and equally, there is nothing more frustrating when you can't. I hear you! This is why I thought I would dedicate a post to each body shape to help you find the perfect pair.... This week's post is for those ladies who are an HOUR GLASS shape (your hips and bust are about the same size with a smaller waist) If you don't love high rise denim, get ready to! DO Wear high rise jeans to avoid muffin tops and waist gapping. It will give the tummy a flat appearance Denim with stretch in it will give you a lovely contour line over your hips and thighs Straight styles look great on an hourglass, it can make you look taller and if you want to roll these up to show your ankles it can have a slimming affect. The width of the hem is straight from hip to ankle which gives them a comfortable fit Boot cut jeans are your friend and they are making a comeback this season. The wider bottom balances out larger hips. Look at the pockets at the back of your jeans if they are set at a slight angle it will give your bum a more shapely look Want to know what brands would suit you the best? 01.01.2022 It's a human trait that we often lust after things we don't have. Petite women often want to be taller and I'm sure our tall friends have longed to be called petite just once in their lives. Today I'm going to be speaking to my petite clientele, if you weren't naturally blessed with Elle Macpherson's legs, there are a few secrets to looking taller that lye in your wardrobe. Try column dressing - straight tailored pieces creating a column feel - it creates straight up and d...own lines to make you look taller Wear vertical stripes - they have the same effect as column dressing - creating the illusion of long up and down lines Opt for high-waisted jeans - Where material ends on your body your eyes are drawn to so bring the waist line up a bit, this will create the illusion of longer legs Go monochromatic - It's the column logic again! it keeps the eye running vertically Choose the most micro of prints - large prints can wear you! So make sure you keep your prints small Opt for super-tall (or super-short) boots - Its imperative that you take notice of where your shoe hits your leg - mid rise boots cut you off short - which is not the look you are after Tuck in your shirt - Avoiding baggy, boxy, oversized clothing, it is crucial to avoid these if you’re aiming for the appearance of height, big silhouettes will make you look shorter If none of the above work for you there is always a stunning pair of heels!
