25.01.2022 But I put suncreams on... how am I burnt? Put your suncream on at home before coming to the pool Suncream takes about 20 minutes to become effective. In the 20 minutes it takes to start working you can already start to burn.... Putting suncream on and then entering the water without waiting 20minutes just means the suncreams washes off and is ineffective. Not to mention if the kids are playing it rubs off easy or soaks into towels and clothing before it's had a chance to soak into the skin Putting suncream on at home means you have the added bonus of not having to deal with excited, sqirming kids when you first arrive at the pool and the kids can jump straight into play. Don't forget to reapply suncream every 2hours on to DRY skin and let soak in again for 20minutes before getting back in the water

25.01.2022 I've noticed a bit of traffic through the page today, and I'm guessing it's coming after tonight's announcement by the PM. For the moment we are still open and scheduled to close on Monday the 30th March. Please note that this may change at the discretion of the Shire and any changed will be posted here and on the Shire pages. This should go without saying, that if you or anyone you have had close contact with has displayed any symptoms please do not come down to the pool. We... do have people who use the facility that are classified as high risk. Even of you are at the facility alone I do not want to be the person that transmits through the community during the final week of the pool being open. 10.01.2022 Early in Term One this year we worked with the Shire of Quairading to assist in funding a Swim and Survive program for children aged six months to four years at... the Quairading Swimming Pool. Sadly the program had to be cut short when public pools were closed due to COVID-19. But for the five weeks it ran the local children thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt some vital life skills! The lessons were conducted as part of our Access and Equity program, by an infant qualified instructor from Just Add Water Swimming, which is a Royal Life Saving Endorsed Swim School. We will be shutting immediately after our baby swimming lessons on Saturday 28 March at 12pm On the Saturday there will be no public access. Access will only be for those in the scheduled classes on that day to minimise interaction. ... In the mean time we ask that all casual entry users bring the correct change for entry. It is due to come into place as of midnight tonight but to ensure the safety of to community the Shire of Quairading have decided to shut today. Please at this time be safe and stay home. ... 02.01.2022 VAC SWIM LESSONS START TODAY: Few important notes -Please download to the SafeWA app prior to arrival to speed up the process of entry into the pool. (I've included the link to the a with instructions) https://www.wa.gov.au//covid-19-coronavirus-safewa-guide-p.... Lessons will run 9am to 2pm. Space for public swimming will be limited during these times. Parents must stay at the pool for the duration of the lessons. Please slip, slop, slap at home. Suncream takes 20 minutes to soak in and if put on at the pool simply washes off in the water and is ineffective We encourage all children to stay out of the water prior to the start of their lessons. Due to the short program the lessons are longer and cold can become an issue. A cold child will struggle to focus and effectively demonstrate their skills when required. Finally normal pool entry fees apply. If you would like I am happy to take payment today for the 7 days, but remember we are cash only.
