17.01.2022 Qualify in partnership with Jobs Victoria and the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions congratulate Annie who after years out of the workforce, is now supporting her local community in a job she loves. Annie Kennedy, a Shepparton local, was out of the workforce for 15 years, raising her five children. At the point when all her kids were at school, Annie was ready to look for work again, but with no qualifications and such a long time out of employment, she felt daunted by the prospect. #jobsvictoria #qualifytraining #employmentservices #employment #jobready #careerready #employabilityskills

15.01.2022 It’s Mental Health Week and the Qualify team would like to join in the conversation to share practical tips to support the mental health and wellbeing of Australians during COVID-19. Let’s Tune In: Tuning In means being present, being aware of what’s happening within you, and in the world around you. Tune In to your senses what can you sense right now? What can you feel? ... Tune In to your communities what’s happening that you can be part of, or that you can help others be part of? Tune In to stigma how do attitudes and understandings of mental health and wellbeing impact people’s ability to live the lives they want? Tuning in can help you find a new perspective, reflect and be present. It can help build self-awareness, help make effective choices, reduce the impact of worry, and build positive connections. #InThisTogether

02.01.2022 Annie Kennedy, a Shepparton local, was out of the workforce for 15 years, raising her five children. At the point when all her kids were at school, Annie was ready to look for work again, but with no qualifications and such a long time out of employment, she felt daunted by the prospect. I wasnt sure where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do. I had no idea how to write a resume. Before having children, Annie worked in a takeaway shop, but after years at home cooking for p...eople she did not want to go back into hospitality and food service. She decided a career in community services would offer her a broad range of opportunities. Annie enrolled to study community welfare. At the same time, she sought help from Jobs Victoria Partner Qualify who supported her to develop a resume and get job ready. Once I got that help, everything just fell into place. With help from Qualify, Annie successfully gained a role as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advocate at RIAC Rights, Information Advocacy Centre in Shepparton. In this role Annie supports Indigenous clients and their families through home visits and assessments. Annie is doing extremely well in her role and is happy working in the community services field. My 13-year-old son now wants to do something along the lines of what mum does, to be an advocate for people and help them, so Im very proud of that.

01.01.2022 As we start to head back to our places of work in the coming weeks and months, whether it be in an office or warehouse, on a production line, assisting in an education or aged care facility or serving customers in a retail and hospitality setting, it is important that we all understand the best ways in which to reduce the risk and spread of infection to our staff, colleagues and customers. To discuss our short course opportunities further please email [email protected] or call 0408 434452. #infectioncontro #elearning #covid19 #shortcourses #education #safeworkplaces
