24.01.2022 Sometimes peace of mind can be hard to achieve. Our minds run wild and can take us to dark places. Research has shown that mindfulness - the practice of being ...in the present moment and non judgmentally accepting the range of thoughts, feelings and sensations as they occur assists mood regulation and has many general health benefits. A recent study by Dr Willem Kuyken and fellow researchers published in the Lancet has found that a combination of Mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy and maintenance antidepressant treatment showed lasting positive impacts, with patients experiencing reduced depression relapse or recurrence, less severe ongoing depressive symptoms, and improved quality of life. 21.01.2022 Hi everyone, if you're in need of a Coordinator of Supports I have capacity to take on new clients in the Newcastle, Maitland, Port Stephens area. I've been a COS for 3 years now and try to keep my client list low so that I can give more quality service to less clients. I work very hard for my clients and I have achieved some very good results in getting participants what they need in their NDIS package. So give me a call on 0427 968 447 to have a chat and see if you think I can help you get the support that you, or your loved one needs.

10.01.2022 "The catalogue of climatic disasters that have unfolded this year is truly numbing. And a recently published letter by 11,000 scientists warns the climate emerg...ency will only intensify. And yet despite all the scientific evidence, all the destruction, all the suffering, all the apocalyptic predictions, and all the strikes and marches, nothing happens. Global CO2 emissions continue to rise and the world leaders procrastinate." Dr Geoff Goldrick is a deputy captain with the NSW Rural Fire Service in Northern NSW
