21.01.2022 Calgraphics has been proudly assisting Caltex, Australia’s largest retail fuel supplier, with branding and associated services for more than 10 years. With Australia’s entry into the recent FIFA World Cup Caltex, as the naming-rights partner of the Caltex Socceroos, rolled out a promotion to five of their marquee sites across the country. This grand gesture has seen five of Caltex’s sites given a makeover in honour of legendary footballer, Tim Cahill, remaining as CAHILLTEX t...hroughout May and June. Our scope on this project was to rebrand the shop interiors, pumps and forecourts with a mix of green and gold Socceroos regalia. This promotional changeover needed to happen at all sites simultaneously and was to be completed in just one day ready for the launch of the FIFA World Cup promo. An additional test was that information regarding this had to be kept secret as Tim Cahill was only announced as part of the team a few days prior to the start of the rollout and the team selection was being very closely watched by soccer fans across the country. Any small leak and this information would have spread across the internet and social media like wildfire. As such our lead-time to prepare for this project was just over a week. In all we printed, laminated and cut 14 rolls (over 600 metres) of vinyl in the few short days we had to prepare for this before shipping them to all corners of the country. Installing this much vinyl on 33 pumps, 22 spreaders, 19 Product indicator boards, 160 metres of pelmet and 9 pendant lights in one day was quite a challenge but one that we completed without delay or drama. An amazing outcome and the result of a great production team, skilled and enthusiastic applicators onsite working with our supportive team in the office to make this go off without a hitch. After all that work we had to return just 6 weeks later to pull it all down and return the sites to their former glory! We have implemented a split shift strategy and with the support of our team are meeting all client requirements. Added to our normal production work we have also been able to develop both standard and client specific decals to assist other companies and outlets to direct queues and make workplaces effective. 12.01.2022 We always say that you never know what will happen from day to day at Calgraphics and yesterday was no exception. Early in the morning we had a surprise visitor courtesy of some harassing Ravens. This lovely Barn owl crashed into our window and suffered a concussion. We looked after him /her until the wonderful people from Warriors 4 Wildlife came to lend their expertise. Follow the link to see what happened. 05.01.2022 After weeks of planning and preparation, printing and laminating 3.2 Km of vinyl using 200 Litres of ink, over 432 hours of printing and 78 hours of cutting in 30 days, the first install event of the rebranding program was last night. The teams completed 20 vehicles overnight. An amazing outcome the result of a great production team, skilled and enthusiastic applicators onsite working with supportive co suppliers to our customer. 1 Site down the rest of the country to go!
