25.01.2022 We are starting to get to the exciting time of the year. Bulbs are starting to swell and as you can see, we are starting to get some nice colour in the stems. IT WONT BE LONG NOW!!!

24.01.2022 Sunday 20/12/20 is our last Dubbo Rotunda Market for the year. In fact we won’t be back until February. We will have gift packs ready for your last minute Christmas gifts. Bags of Garlic. Our Pinerock pickled Garlic has returned also. Of course our exquisite bags of Garlic salts will be there too. ... Come on to downtown Dubbo tomorrow morning from 8am until 1pm. 11.01.2022 We are setup down here at the old Readfords motorcycle shop. Lots of fresh garlic. Bags, bunches, braids. Lots of freshly made salt bags and grinders.

11.01.2022 Absolutely gorgeous colouring in the purple varieties this season. All our early season varieties are starting to bulb out nicely. Won’t be long.

11.01.2022 One of our gorgeous Dynamite Purple Garlics. Absolutely gorgeous colours, and HOT too. These are generally a smaller bulb than other varieties, but don’t they pack a punch. If you think our regular garlic is full flavoured, wait till you’ve tried one of these!! We will only have a small amount of these available this year. If you would like to try one of these, I will have some loose ones available next weekend at the Dubbo Rotunda Market.

10.01.2022 We’re out planting kurrajongs and tagasaste’s in our front paddock just before the rains start. This is part of our whole farm tree planting program. We are planning on planting between 250-1000 trees over the next 5 years. All the trees are planned to be cattle and bee friendly trees that can be used for food in the tougher years. Once we have the trees up and going we will be planting seasonal crops between the rows of trees for 2 reasons. 1) to feed any livestock we may have. 2) to conserve the moisture within the soil profile. We are hoping to get this lot of trees established purely on rainfall....fingers crossed .

Saturday 21st is going to be in the old Readfords motorcycles building from 9 till 1 pm. Sunday 22nd will be our usual Dubbo Rotunda Market in Macquarie street from 8 till 1 pm. If you can’t make it to the rotunda on Sunday, at least come and see us on the Saturday. ... There will be several stalls there. See you there. 06.01.2022 Bags, braids and bunches will be available at the pop up market on Saturday morning at the old Readfords motorcycle shop in west Dubbo from 9 till 1. And also at tHe Dubbo Rotunda Market on Sunday morning from 8 till 1 pm. Due to a new shop opening where I used to be positioned beside CSC, we will now be about 10m further south. Right besides the ATM. See you all there!!

06.01.2022 So this is some of our green manure crop for our next season garlic crop. A forage sorghum called Chomper by S&W Seeds. It has doubled in height in the last 10 days. I imagine by the time I plow it in, it will have reached its total height of around 2.4-3m tall. In the new patch I’m working on for next season also, it has chomper as well as some cow peas. It’s still only around 600mm high. Still got some more to go before it gets plowed in. Our rotation program will be impl...emented fully by the end of this coming season where we will be growing garlic in its bed for only 1 year at a time. Our rows will be increased from 100m long to nearly 200m long where will be alternating beds with green manure plantings. This in turn will keep most bad organisms at bay and promote good soil biota, reduce the need for any fertiliser inputs, and will keep the soil healthy for longer so we can produce better garlic and other products to you without using ANY chemicals,EVER. Like we do now, NO CHEMICALS!! See more
