20.01.2022 #lestweforget This year was a very different Dawn Service. We stood on our balcony as did our neighbours and listened to the ABC Radio broadcast as the Last Post was played to welcome the Dawn by a lone bugler. And as the strain from the radio swept over us, we heard a distant local bugler join in as the haunting notes drifted to us across the quiet morning air. #Drivewaydawnservice

15.01.2022 We have all had a crazy, unpredictable and uncertain 2020 and it isn’t over yet. We have taken our own advice and taken a few days off to rest, recharge and practice self care. I’ve left the city for an Airbnb in the ‘middle of a paddock’ literally! The sun gently warms my back as I stand on the deck and watch the birds go about the business of finding a mate and nest building. I can hear sheep and cows in the distance as a slight breeze stirs the leaves of the big old gum trees that are dotted throughout the property. Out here, the craziness, unpredictability and uncertainty is replaced by nature doing ‘it’s thing’ and its easier to practice mindfulness. I feel truly blessed.
