24.01.2022 Good morning Given the recent outbreak of the Corona Virus and the serious implications of contracting, Quambie Park has made the very difficult decision to ‘Postpone’ the annual fete which is to be held this coming Saturday. The reason being that we care for the most vulnerable of people and we have a duty of care to ensure their absolute health and safety.... We would have no control the amount of visitors to the fete or their recent movements and this would put us at risk. Apologies to all for all the hard work to date, however we have a duty of care to you and our residents/clients. This is a postponement only and we will in due course reschedule. Thank you all for your understanding. if your are able to help forwards this message onto friends and family to spread the word that would be kindly appreciated. Thank you and kind regards

01.01.2022 Good morning from Quambie Park Just a small update on how we are all travelling here within Pam Corker House facility, all our lovely residents are in good spirits considering the circumstances and restrictions in place, to help them through this tough time we have introduced some way to improve their quality of life such as; *new weekend support/ lifestyle program up and running both sat and sun.... * Phone a friend day where staff assist those who do not have access to their own phone to call up a friend or loved one. * face time visits again staff assist those with this modern way of virtual visiting, if you would like to be apart of this program please send us a message and we will be happy to get you connected with your loved one. * more special theme days to help break up the day to day routine. * we are keeping those who who have cultural/ spiritual needs by accessing services via Facebook, you tube and phone conferences with respective parties. * residents are all on board with regular hand washing before meals and before and after activities. * and to top it all off this Friday we will be drawing the Easter raffle which was meant to be drawn on the Fete day so good luck to all who have brought tickets. so lots is happening within our 4 wall. We encourage all friends/ family of loved ones to write letters and send them in pick up the phone and give them a call, Having no visitors can be a lonely time and we are all doing our very best to try bridge this gap for them and keep them connected for their emotional well being. If you have any concerns on how your loved one is traveling please feel free to call Pam Corker House and speak to a team member. 0897331355 Kind Regards - All team members here at Quambie park.
