25.01.2022 Double the Francheska lol... super cute

25.01.2022 How adorable is Killarney our newest foal here on the farm....so of course Killarney is a Donkey foal English/Irish to be exact and they only grow around 13h so always a lovely smaller height....and oh I totally love donkeys as pets for humans as they have a real engaging attitude and love to learn, they are very affectionate. So now we have Killarney ready to pat in one yard and our dear little Rusty our Miniature Horse foal in the other, who totally loves his baby massages.... See you soon

25.01.2022 Welcome to the farm our newest little HMMS Miniature Ram Lamb who is here to bring in a new bloodline to our Miniature Sheep mob.....he is on the bottle along with the calf Francheska and meeting a few goats for the first time....how pretty is our blue boy Bluey. Well it is looking hopeful for our first weekend in the last 4 that everyone booked in to stay will be able to cross the creek, hurray Both camping areas are booked and so is the Bunkhouse but we certainly have some ...room left for a few Day Visit groups so start planning today and book in asap as we are staying covid safe and only allowing certain numbers here on the farm.... there is plenty of room of course to be just with your own family group but its important for us all to stay safe...so book early. With all the rain some of our white animals and birds got a bit muddy lol...the little white silkie frizzle got a dirty head look but is all back to white today with the sun. Love my little white Peacock girl, she often follows me around, so cute. I just took a lovely video of Killarney our baby donkey and will put it up tomorrow... he is ready for pats from our visitors along with Rusty our Miniature Foal and all the other animals here on the farm.... See you soon

25.01.2022 Not only do we have lots of friendly animals in each paddock we also have amazing views and all the peace and quiet of nature for anyone wanting to just sit and take it all in.... here Cookie was doing some grader work up in the top paddocks making sure that there is a nice flat area for the RVs and caravans and tents to sit on and he stopped to capture the scenes of late afternoon on the farm... paradise. PS he did nearly get bogged again while digging the dirt away from our... tyer barriers we use to stop erosion lol Yesterday we had another little ewe lamb born... super small as her father is Miniature Ram, Sheldon and mother is a 2nd X miniature Kelly.... the lamb already loves cuddles as first time Mum Kelly didnt like it at first so I toped it up with bottles to start with but Kelly likes it now and lets it drink More photos of Francheska with friends. There are 2 photos I took of a young crow that came to eat with the goats yesterday... this usually pure black bird has white all across its back and wings.... never seen that before, was hard to get a good photo to show you without goats in the way. Took a few photos of our Frizzle rooster....such a handsome boy, but he needs a new home as he grew to big for my small girls, but oh how handsome is he....see you soon

25.01.2022 Just a few of the babies to meet right now here on the farm Its Miniature Sheep Lamb season

25.01.2022 More pictures of our cute lambs at play.... love the Miniature Sheep and Miniature Goats

24.01.2022 Well here is the news so many people have been waiting for... our sweet girl Charlotte had a baby boy, yet to be named...a gorgeous Palomino with a white blaze..... anyone interested in this little cutie can pay a deposit to hold, but he will be on his mum until weaning age and well loved and handled in the meantime . Thankyou to all those who have watched and shared my daughter's music video below, it means a lot to us, the music industry is a hard game and your support mea...ns so much to me, thankyou. I am over the moon happy with all the beautiful comments that people say to me about my farm and my animals during their visits here... I hope everyone reads the reviews, they are lovely, thankyou to those taking that bit of time to leave one and photos of their time here. We had a huge day here on the farm yesterday, so I brought in my friend Kay to help out with the tours and getting the accommodations ready for our next people staying, I am impressed how Kay is starting to learn so many names of the animals... I know them all but I spend time with them every day, definitely a lot to remember here lol....those who have been to our farm and met all my animals will understand We are fully booked for today.... I can fit in a couple of Day Visits on Saturday as I have hired Kay again to help...so book with me today for tomorrow... phone, message, email [email protected].... first in gets the spot. Sunday, could take 1 more Day Visit small group. Monday 5th Oct.... completely full. Plenty of room for Day Visits after Monday for the second week of the school holidays, so book in now....see you soon

24.01.2022 Here are the cutest little boys waiting outside for their Mums who are in eating their lunch. If anyone is interested in the twin white brothers, only 1st miniatures so will still grow to around the 65cm mark, but will make wonderful lawn mowers and super friendly pets....send message.... they will be on the bottle next week for those visiting to bottle feed ...see you soon

24.01.2022 We are booked up this weekend for Camping and the Accommodation.. but we have room on Saturday and Sunday for 1 more Day Visit group each of those days....so while the weather is awesome and the babies are here to meet why not book for a Day Visit... please send me a message or phone if you would like to Book in, thankyou. Come meet our gorgeous boy turkey...see you soon

24.01.2022 Well here's the last babies for the season.....darn both boys so one will be desexed to be available as a pet and the other will be available as a reg. Buckling...so cute. I have a sweet little black girl also available. Anyone visiting gets to cuddle these little cuties.... plus there are lots to bottle feed... for those staying who are up and about at 8 in the mornings, you can have a try of milking... early start now it's summer. The pigeons love to produce lots of babies......birds always look a bit weird as babies. One of the pigeons is a bit confused, she started sitting on a duck egg and then layed one of her own (they seem to only have 2 eggs at a sitting, so hatch 2 babies)....she is still sitting on both but she might find the duck egg will take longer to hatch.... can't wait for her reaction lol. We had a lovely visit from Cookie's (David) parents and put Roger to work mowing the front driveway, looking lovely as you drive up. After 2 seasons of waiting I have finally got not 1 but 2 girls for my Lady Amythst peasant....he is extremely happy ... been here a week and already have a nest of eggs, they must like our farm My Lavender Farm in its first season with it's tiny purple flowers.... can't wait for next year, its going to look and smell amazing. Hope to see you soon

24.01.2022 Heres our gorgeous boy Flicker who is ready to go to a new home....so if you are looking for a pet that acts like a puppy, that will mow your lawn and will follow you around all day, then Flicker will suit you perfectly...and if you want to breed or show he is a stunning Buckskin and can be registered. Still room here today for Day Visits...send me a message if you wish to book in.

23.01.2022 How to catch and carry a peacock use a doubled over sheet, get him in the corner and wrap him up quick...all my years working in piggerys and catching pigglets helps lol... Our gorgeous boy is now in the big pen with his lady for the breeding season for her safety... last year she had eggs out in the garden and I was worried the whole time as they make easy prey for foxes when sitting on a nest...then the small chicks can get taken by birds like Butcher Birds, crows, Currawongs and so we only got 1 chick who is now grow up Its a glorious sunny day here so the little indoor chicks are enjoying some sun. Precious Rusty... loves people ...he will make some family an awesome Miniature horse lawn mower pet one day

23.01.2022 Spring has sprung here on the farm Some of the early flowering trees have started to flower and we welcomed our newest arrivals thanks to our famous sheep Roxy who started her life on Tour with my daughter when she took her music for 6weeks to the outback of Vic./NSW/SA back in 2015 where people still remember SAMI & Roxys adventures before she came to live her life here on the farm as a sheep lol... this year she has twin boys...they will be looking for a home in a few we...eks in the meantime they are here on the farm to meet. We have seen the springs open up and running for the first time in years so it was no wonder that Cookie got the grader bogged as we had no idea how much water is running under the ground, but since all the rain we have had the water is now running above ground...so amazing to see after years of drought... now we just have to wait a month or so for the ground to warm up so the grasses can get growing.... happy times ahead. We had a few people booked in this weekend but I checked the weather and advised them to swap to a different date... lucky I did as the creek is over the crossing today and will take a couple of days to go down .... Best to book ahead to save your spot but keep an eye on the weather as you can always swap dates. A big thankyou to a friend Kay who knew I have been looking for fancy Pigeons to add to my birds here and she donated me 3 lovely Fantails... The Pigeons have fitted in well with our dear show off Turkey who loves to change his facial effects for anyone watching.... the young Peacocks are best friends with him, especially the white Peacock the Peacocks are nearly old enough to let out, just waiting for the weather to warm up some then our lovely Turkey boy can look after the cute little Frizzle chickens I currently have inside... they are getting bigger... I keep them under a light in the laundry and the other day one hopped out and came to find me in the kitchen LoL Got to love farm life... see you soon

23.01.2022 Well its another weekend of having to turn people away as the with the rain yesterday and the amount of water around our area the creek is flowing fast over the causeway that leads to our farm and so is inpassable again.... So very sorry to the people booked in for Day Visits...I really do hope you will book in again at another time...and a huge thankyou to the lovely people who have been booked in to stay over the past 2 weekends lol....mother nature got to love her lol...th...ankyou for understanding and swapping again :)...it will happen lol We are open 7 days a week and for those who are able to why not try a weekday visit? it seems during the week it doesnt rain lately lol...also if you are wanting to stay either in the Accommodations or Camping then you really need to book ahead as we are nearly booked up till the School Holidays now...just the odd weekend in there available so when you go to bookings you can see the calendar on our Youcamp website page what availability we have....btw dont be scared to press the Youcamp bookings link in the Top Post on this page, it takes you to our Youcamp page and you can check out all the information and photos there of what we have to offer....then I hope you will book :) Before the rain I got my new bute lawnmower out and mowed all around my dear little Lavender babies....I can picture a sea of purple flowers there in spring next year...it will be a beautiful experience for all to enjoy :) Also some off farm news as I know many who have stayed here will be interested...I really want to thank anyone who has bought my daughter SAMIs new song that was released yesterday called Feeling Like A Rebel it was so exciting to see it hit #2 on the ITune Charts...2 infront of Keith Urban, amazing! Its a great song and I do hope people keep buying it for only $1.99 it can make a whole lot of difference to her music career....and please ask your local radio station to play this song...if they dont have it let me know...its been sent all around the world and we hope to see it chart around Australia and the world....and sorry some more baby spam our newest Grandson Finn who got me away from the farm a couple of weeks ago, is gorgeous. And now to a not so baby any more, our gorgeous Miniature Horse Flicker...he is super sweet and looking for a new home...let me know if you are interested in this gorgeous lawn mower... Hope your day goes well and we can see you here soon on the farm :)

23.01.2022 Here is an update photo on our dear Miniature Horses, Charlotte and her gorgeous baby boy Cosmic who is 2 weeks old tomorrow, he was a favourite for so many visitors over the holidays. Charlotte is the sweetest girl, always ready for a pat and her baby Cosmic is has won the hearts of so many with his acceptance of humans young and old, happy to get a cuddle and climb on their lap lol...of course it's cute now but I will have to teach him not to climb all over people lol If yo...u would like to book in for a Day Visit send me a message or email [email protected] to claim your chosen date as we can book up fast. Accommodation is booked now until the end of November, but we still have room for Camping, so get your family and friends together and book either Fairy Dale Campsite or The Range Campsite and spend some quality time together in the one area with amazing views and a short walk to the farm yard....see you soon

23.01.2022 Early morning fencing is a beautiful time here on the farm especially during summer before the heat of the day and definitely less flys lol We are blessed with stunning views and of course a whole lot of lovely freindly animals....life is good here at Quamby Park... have you visited us yet? We love that over the time we have been open people have come back more than once often bringing more friends.... Recently we have had lots of people book the Bunkhouse and Bus as a big group with everyone having a great time. Some groups have those who want to camp while their other family members choose to stay in the Bunkhouse or Bus so they 'dont have to bring a thing's. True the days are hot but the early morning and late afternoons are lovely and during the day, those staying often go spend the day in at the Young swimming pools...it all makes for a wonderful holiday experience. Read the Top Post for booking information...see you soon

23.01.2022 Just born a few hours ago... sadly one twin didnt make it but this tiny boy did...so glad as its horrible if I loose any... Sparkles is a super sweet Mum who lives with our Deer Fallon...her baby boy is now looking stronger and doing well. Baby Miniature Goat season is starting, most in about 2 weeks, anyone interested please email [email protected] to go onto the Waiting List... there is also a Waiting List for Miniature Lambs, still a few to go...the Lambs and Goats sell fast.

22.01.2022 We have the most amazing views here on the farm. Last night I captured the full moon rising above the Dananbilla Range, it actually was bigger and more impressive than this photo shows... you will just have to come stay here yourself to see...and this morning high up on the range the water fall is flowing... there are many small ones up there that are trickling down forming our little creeks all happily flowing along.... its so beautiful to see after years of drought... The... grasses are starting to grow with the days of spring warming up producing stunning days here on the farm. There is still some spaces open for Camping before the end of Camp fire season which is from the 1st October....so get in quick if you want a camping holiday with your family and friends all in your own camping area. The Accommodation is booked up until mid October, so if you want to stay in the comfortable Bunkhouse, you need to book way ahead to save your date. Of course we are open for Day Visits, but please send me a message to Book in for your visit as I need to keep an eye on numbers. We are definitely being Covid safe here on the farm...non of us can afford to get this horrible virus and none of us want to be the one that passes it on...so please be aware of your health before coming to the farm. I made the decision to bring my 90yr old Mum back from aged care to the farm to live, so her safety is so very important to me. Oh and its baby season here.... babies are being born any day, some people get the chance to see some born, either way though you will get to cuddle the new borns....see you soon

22.01.2022 OMG... I have never seen a baby Donkey! ... Congratulations to our dear Maggie for producing such a gem.... mother and baby doing well...so exciting and Maggie was so easy with me talking to her newborn. Lucky we have a nice warm shed for Maggie and baby, Donkeys, like Goats dont like the cold and rain...and its not good from all forcasts again this weekend ugh. Sadly due to rain and cold weather expected over the next few days and over the weekend I have had to let all the l...ovely people booked in for Day Visits and camping and accommodation that they will need to swap again...crazy...as the old Farmers say after a drought we get floods...and we are... so sorry to all those lovely people over the past 4 weekends who have swapped...we will get you here LoL... and as its heading into our major Baby season you are going to have even more to cuddle .... Dont forget we are open during the week and it seems week days the weather is fine, so if you are able, why not visit on a weekday...see you soon

21.01.2022 What a beautiful day out here on the farm.... Here are just a few of the friendly animals you can meet, pat and some enjoy a cuddle and will love to spend some quality time with you. Our animals are all used to humans as I raise them to except humans into their lives and thats the difference with the way I raise my animals, they accept humans as part of their family while understanding that we are different to their 4 legged friends, this way animals and people can enjoy ea...ch others company. I have found that there are a lot of families that dont have a lifestyle that can accommodate pets into their lives and so they bring their children here to spend time with our animals and nature... to those parents I congratulate you for giving your children the opportunity to experience the beautiful enjoyment animals can bring to their lives...and of course adults lives. There is nothing better than, if you have a busy life, to take out here on the farm and spend quality time with nature, be it a day or a week, I garantee you will leave feeling a whole lot better. Today, Saturday, we are fully booked up, with camping/accommodation and Day Visits.... but there is still room for 1 more Day Visit group tomorrow, Sunday, so contact me quick if you want to save your spot. Next weekend the 19th we are closed for a family only weekend. The weekend after is the start of the school holidays and we have got lots of bookings. The only availablity for the Bunkhouse is Thurs and Friday 1st/2nd October....get in quick if you want the Bunkhouse those nights. There is still some camping available but most dates are full with people taking the opportunity to stay here a few nights so they can enjoy the farm but also the many attractions that our region has and of course its spring and everything is in bloom...its a glorious time of the year....see you soon

21.01.2022 Well its snowing in Canberra and cold enough here but we got hail.... I think we deserve snow seeing its cold enough lol The creek is up again so not crossable this morning, so lucky I let all those who were booked in for the weekend know what we expected so they could swap to another time.... weekend bookings are definitely getting packed up between now and the school holidays, so if you thought about coming to the farm you best check out whats still available.... remembe...r no campfires from the 1st October so if you want to enjoy a campfire, best check what dates are available and book.... those staying in the Bunkhouse and Bus are also able to have a Campfire. I think its really interesting seeing where all this water on our place is coming from...one photo shows where it just starts out of the ground then turns into flowing little trickles that fill up and join with more and are flowing right across parts of our paddocks, all joining on their way to our dam which has had its own little creek for over 4 weeks now that is overflowing and continuing on its way... nature is amazing. One thing with all this rain, the clover is growing well and the animals are past any scary bloat stages, (bloat can kill if animals get too much fresh green grasses so I had to let them into new paddocks slowly, take them out and back in over time till they are ok with it) and with the rain our white cow Tutunka is looking fat and white...or as fat as her dairy breed background will let her lol....she is a favourite of ours here...a big sloppy Sook lol. Well I think my dear little Flicker is all ready for a new family, he has learnt good behaviour and loves being brushed and follows me around everywhere interested in what I am doing...gets on well with the dogs, wears his little winter coat with pride and best thing ever...mows the lawn without being asked! Any takers? Send me a message. Another baby photo of dear little Killarney our new baby donkey.

21.01.2022 We get constantly asked about what we offer for those that want to stay at the farm for that full farm experience. Below there are photos of each area so be sure to click on them and have a read. Please know the Bunkhouse only sleeps 4 and books up fast for weekends and holidays....all weekends are currently booked in the Bunkhouse until the weekend of the 17th Oct. so if you have a date from now until Christmas get your booking in fast....if you can make a booking during t...he week try that as its often less busy on the farm then :) The Old School Bus would suit those who like camping but dont want to bring a thing....its decked out with 8 beds and plenty of blankets and is a fun way to have your family/friends together. At this time of us wanting to be covid safe I have made the decission not to book the Old School Bus and the Bunkhouse at the same time as these areas share the Campkitchen. Trying to help people with social distancing in these areas, can be tricky so if one or the other accommodations are already booked, I am thinking of everyone with that descission....again if you have a date then book ahead fast. Also if for some reason you need to cancel, please do so early so that someone else can take your spot, thankyou. If you have booked ahead and I believe that the weather will be lots of rain then I will let you know a day or so ahead so that you can decide on a date to swap to...not much sense being on the farm and having to sit inside ;) if you swap ahead then you wont incur any charges. We of course do Day Visits and these also need to be booked in, can be same day which is often a good idea if the weather is looking like rain...so please refer to BOM and check the weather forcast for Bendick Murrell NSW to give you an idea before booking your Day Visit...and while checking the weather its best to book ahead even for Day Visits as being covid safe means I will only have so many people here at the farm at the same time so that there is plenty of room for social distancing.... ...so once the bookings including those staying and Day Visits reach a certain number I will closed for that day and advise anyone after that to choose another day. Its important for us all to stay safe and enjoy your time here on the farm....see you soon. PS: for ALL bookings including Day Visits/Accommodation/Camping please completely read the Top Post on our page for easy booking details. ALSO keep watching our post updates as its baby season again here on the farm!

20.01.2022 Spring is in the air here on the farm... babies are being born and the birds are in show off mode... ...well those with a girl to show off to lol.... got to feel sorry for our Lady Amythst boy, its his first season with all his colours but no lady of his own yet but I am looking lol...he has super fancy colours under those wings and around his neck ready to go if I can only find him a mate... fingers crossed. The peacocks are faning their glamorous tails and the turkey boy...s are always happy to display for our visitors. If you are after a Day Visit please send me a message or email [email protected] as booking in is essential so I can keep an eye on numbers, weather should be good for this weekend...see you soon

19.01.2022 It's always sad to say goodbye to our animals as they move on to new loving families and the day has come for us to hug and farewell our dear sweet Francheska.... Francheska was born on a rainy morning 12weeks ago after a long wait for all our FB followers as her Mum Buffy just got bigger and bigger and seemed to never be going to give birth.... but on the 20th July our dear little Francheska was born. I was actually away as my daughter Sami and partner Alec welcomed on that ...very same morning our beautiful grandson Finn. My husband David found a wet little Francheska in the back paddock alone after her mother Buffy had decided that having that 'thing' hurt and she would have nothing to do with it (sometimes happens with first time Mum's),. So my husband took little Francheska to the baby goat/sheep pen and there she was raised with the bottle babies which at that time were lambs, so Francheska has never known herself as a cow and enjoys her happy life as a sheep lol People ask me how am I able to sell them on.... well there are a few reasons and all are to do with when they are older. In Francheska's case, she won't always stay a small calf...she will grow into a small cow that will eat a lot of grass or add to my feed costs....it takes time to keep all my animals happy and healthy and if they get sick at some stage in their life there might be vet bills... also one of my main issues for the future is that she will never be able to be with my little cow herd as her father is part of it and I don't want breeding issues.... also like all things where our farm visitors are concerned, babies are cute but many only look at the adult animals but spend lots of time with the babies, so as she grows people will take less notice of Francheska where as her new family will love her daily....we all wish Francheska a beautiful happy life.

18.01.2022 What are you up to today? we have an opening for 1 more small Day Visit group...so send me a message or phone asap to book in for today....and come and spend so...me time with all the friendly animals of many kinds down here at the farm. If you wish to book in for a Day Visit any day from now on book in fast as with this being the last week of school holidays we are sure to book up fast....but please also watch BOM weather report for Bendick Murrell as there are some days it might rain, anyone booked in on days with over 80% chance of rain I will contact you or you contact me, to see if you wish to swap to another day. Sooooo many babies here right now to cuddle...those staying here and day visitors got to see new baby goats born, so exciting :) and everyone is loving the chance to pat our newest tiny foat Cosmic...see you soon :)

18.01.2022 What a great day for a Day Visit or Camping... sorry the accommodation is booked.... For All bookings contact me today. For Day Visits please book in before arrival. 17.01.2022 Baby Miniature Lamb season has started again...the twins were born a week ago now and are super cheeky, always together so when its time for them to go on the bottle they will be together along with a new little Miniature Ram Lamb that I am picking up from another stud... when breeding you always need to introduce new Ram bloodlines to not interbreed.... These two cuties will be weathered(desexed) and available as great family pets, to go together. Today we had a super prett...y boy 2nd X Miniature lamb Ram born ..he will be available as a Stud Ram on the bottle, great for people wanting to breed this smaller variety of sheep . I have just brought in a couple of my favourite miniature sheep girls who are due to lamb for the first time any day, so lots of babies here on the farm for our visitors. I keep them close by when lambing so their tiny babies stay safe. We are so hoping for nice weather next weekend as its been quiet here on the farm with rain and flooding happening the passed 3 weekends and those booked in having to push their bookings back....so next weekend weather permitting we will be busy as here on the farm

17.01.2022 You might have heard its Baby Season here at the Farm....we have lots of coloured Miniature Lambs being born and its set ready to go for Baby Miniature Goats with the first twins just born yesterday..... there will be a few looking for family homes so if you are interested then send me an email [email protected] but of course all those that book in for a Day Visit or Camping or Accommodation get to spend time playing and hugging them all.... come meet the babies

17.01.2022 Well I hope youre not sick of seeing my cute baby videos, cause here is another, sorry cant help it, they are toooo cute. 16.01.2022 Well isn't just the way... here were these 2, Peanuts and Killarney having a good old chat, looking super cute but then you get the camera out and miss the moment lol... peanuts is never camera shy and I am sure is featured in so many photos taken by all those that visit our farm...he is certainly a favourite with our visitors of all ages. So to is Killarney our month old Donkey who runs up for a pat when ever people are near... just a soft fluffy bundle of joy. We have 1 nig...ht vacancy left in the Bunkhouse for Friday 9th Oct. if anyone is interested in that 'full farm experience'... contact me asap to secure that date... sleeps up to 4 people. All this last week of the school holidays we have Day Visit vaccines, but today and Thurs. there is the chance of rain, so this means Friday onwards might book up, so be quick to organise your Day Visit booking and contact me direct...price is Adults $20. Children $10. (that includes anyone walking or interacting with the animals so they are covered by insurance). A super huge thankyou to those who share Quamby Park Farm Stay & Petting Zoo with their friends, in reviews and mention us on FB posts as honestly your comments to others helps us get known...we will never let our farm be over loaded with people as I feel part of the experience we offer is the freedom to enjoy the animals and nature in a quiet positive way, so by being able to control the bookings myself now that we have our own insurance lets me keep our visitor numbers to an enjoyable amount for your next visit...see you soon

14.01.2022 Well its certainly been a while since I have done a Kitty post but here is a typical Kitty video LoL For a while now Kitty has been living in the big paddock with all the goats but with the warmer weather, she doesnt really like the heat, she has been standing under the trees and not really socilising with anyone so I thought it was time to change her paddocks, so I brought her back to the house paddock and she got straight back into doing what Kitty does best...her laying ...around and just enjoying life in the busier area of the farm So Kitty is back ready to meet all the people booked in for the up coming school holidays. Just a reminder that this weekend we are closed to the public for a family weekend. The weekend after is the start of the school holidays and we are nearly booked up for Accommodation and Camping with only a few nights here and there left available...so if you wanted to camp or get at least one night in the Bunkhouse best to check with me fast. We still have room for Day Visits, but again due to restricting our numbers to be covid safe you will definitely need to book in early to not miss your preferred date. See you soon

14.01.2022 The twins, soon to be on the bottle, will make lovely pets... The 2 young Peacocks are enjoying their new life in the animal nursery.

13.01.2022 Well the babies still keep coming.....we have a new baby Miniature Goat, still waiting on 2 more Goats to kid and 1 more Miniature Lamb to be born....then we have lots of eggs... There will be more Guinea Fowl and Frizzle Chickens and Ringneck Pheasants, just got to wait between 21-28 days for the eggs to hatch, excited to watch the pigeon babies grow and new ones to hatch soon. The mother Golden Pheasant is sitting on at least 8 eggs and the Peacock Hen has laid 5 eggs so fa...r, once she has laid what she feels is enough she will start sitting on the eggs until hatching, so baby Peacocks and Golden Pheasants this season. I am also excited to say I will be picking up 2 lovely Lady Amythst Hens for our lonely boy ;) Down at the dam our baby Lillypads are growing and there is a hint of purple just starting to show, as my first season of baby Lavender is flowering....I feel like a mother to the 240 baby Lavenders I planted lol I am sure the 100 baby Aust. Cod are growing and swimming well in the dam, cant see them but I throw them some food and hope they are eating to grow ;) Its back to great weather here on the farm and people are enjoying the chance to milk goats and bottle feed all the babies. Day Visits can be same day but all have to be pre-booked....we are open 7 days a week with prior bookings. Adults $20. Children $10. If you are after Camping or Accommodation please refer to our website to see what is available, then be sure to book your stay today... See you soon,

13.01.2022 Here's our Kitty the Supervisor back at work helping campers pack up their tents. We have had a huge Long weekend and still have one more week of the school holidays...we are booked up for those wishing to stay but I have room for Day Visits so contact me asap to save your spot as once I fill my quota that day will be full. It's heartwarming to have everyone who stays here say they will definitely be back and will be telling their friends and the Day Visitors saying the same ...and many making plans to stay to get that full farm experience If you book in for a Day Visit and looks like rain then we can swap you to another date that suits...do remember to check BOM for Bendick Murrell NSW and if it's 18 plus deg. and 1ml expected, for us here on the farm it usually means, although not sunny its still worth coming and enjoying a day with the animals. It looks like Wed. & Thurs. This week will be raining so possibly not the best days for a day visit... We do have plenty of sheds to get away from light rain Reminder to book early for your Accommodation/Camping/Day Visits... see you soon

12.01.2022 Many of you have met Ricky the Poodle who thinks he is a farm dog.....he is 15yrs old in dog years which in human years he is heading towards his 90s but as you can see he found a new lease to life here on the farm and follows me everywhere When my elderly Mum and Ricky moved to the farm Ricky gave up the life of sitting on her lap, to this new, often grabby white life, of helping with the daily farm jobs. We also have 2 other favourite real farm dogs called Snoopy and P...eanuts both Border Collies who welcome our guests and people love to play with.... We do get asked if people can bring their own dogs to our farm.... this can be an issue, let me explain why. Firstly and foremost, we are careful with bio-security, we run a closed farm meaning our animals dont mix with other animals and so have guarded health security which is their protection against deseases. If someone brings a dog, that might be perfectly healthy itself but has something that my isolated dogs dont have ammunities to, then my dogs can get sick. This extends to all our animals, so I am very careful when I bring any new animals in....my farm is known as a closed herd. Also in the camping areas I often have the Donkeys and Miniature Horses, they are fine with my dogs as they know them but Donkeys are known as good guard animals and may attack unknown pooches...so please leave your dogs safe at home....by the way the Donkeys are totally safe with humans they love hugs, just not dogs they dont know as they want to protect our farm animals and see unknown" dogs as a threat to our animals. I hope this clears up this dog bringing issue. I have opened my private farm to the public so that you can come here and share time with my animals, so please if planning a trip here, find a pet sitter for your pets, so that mine can stay safe and you can enjoy their company....see you soon

10.01.2022 What a stunningly beautiful morning here on the farm.... the grass is slowly growing and with the days warming up the animals are soon going to be able to fill their bellies with lush green grass. The photo with the 3 lambs, that are all the same age, shows the difference with the Miniature sheep breed and the normal sized sheep breed.... miniatures are smaller in height/length/width... also our Miniature breeds dont need shearing which is a plus. These 2 sweet brothers Patc...h and Wallace are ready to go on the bottle, but will only be going together as they are inseparable and are the best of friends... they are normal sized lambs and may need shearing but only once a year... other than that they will make awesome pets and mow your paddock. Lots of babies here to meet on the farm...see you soon

10.01.2022 Here at the farm we have animals in all shapes and sizes, all super friendly that love human attention. We are full up for Camping and Accommodation for this weekend but still have some room for Day Visits so please contact me asap if you wish to Book in for a Day Visit for today Saturday or tomorrow as we only allow a certain number here on the farm....we never want to get too crowded to take away from the peacefullness that people come here for and are being Covid safe. For... ALL bookings please phone me on 0439 134040 Its another stunning spring day here on the farm....see you soon

09.01.2022 This was the hight in the afternoon....one thing to be said about our crossing, it does go down fairly quickly....by the afternoon today it should be crossable

08.01.2022 And still the babies are arriving....we have a few varieties of Pigeons here now and they don't take long to feel comfortable in their new surroundings and start to breed, some babies born and more to hatch soon. Our Golden Pheasants have eggs and the Ringneck Pheasants are laying now also. More Silkie Frizzle chicks hatching...so cute tiny.... It has been crazy busy over the school holidays and I want to seriously thank ALL those people who come to visit and shared their experience with friends and family who also come saying someone recommended our farm.... there are some lovely reviews and more people I sure will add theirs to the list.. It makes my heart full reading their personal feelings about our farm and the photos they take during their visit, please take a scroll through our reviews. As most of you know I am mainly on the farm myself, but during the holidays I knew with the bookings I had that there was no way I could cope for the whole 2 weeks on my own so I am so grateful to my apprentice Kay who came and worked for 4hrs a day during my busiest days...she did a great job giving people their tour on arrival and any odd jobs I could give her so that I was able to work in other areas....as we grow, I am hoping to be able to employ Kay more as she is a wonderful asset to our farm. From now we are again open to plenty of room for Day Visits and Camping and Accommodation.... but if you have a date in mind be quick to book as we are getting booked now right through to Christmas...see you soon

08.01.2022 After months of planning and hard work things down by the dam are coming together and by next spring it should be a wonderous place to visit and I am sure this pretty, peaceful area at the farm will entise people to come and sit for a while. It's sure to bring Lavender lovers to walk amongst it's brilliance and for those that love to fish we have just let 100 Australian Bass babies go that will grow in the tranquil water of our dam and then people can pay a bit extra to enjoy... a fishing experience in our Hilltops region. We have another busy day here on the farm.... there is one more opportunity for a small Day Visit group so send me a message asap before the spot is filled. Day Visits are Adults $20. Children $10. this covers your insurance....we are open between 10 am and 5pm daily. There is room again for Day Visits most days again as the school holidays are coming to an end, but weekends do get booked up fast so get your group organised today and let me know asap what day suits you. The Bunkhouse and Old School Bus book up way ahead so best to plan ahead if you want Accommodation. There is usually Camping available but at times our sites also get booked up, so plan your trip today for that full farm experience....see you soon Please note my email is working again, thankyou Janelle

07.01.2022 Well I have found a good Irish name for our newest baby here on the farm, Killarney. . what a great name for our handsome little 3 day old Donkey.... Maggie is doing well and is letting Killarney spend time with me when she eats, cause she definitely likes her food and tells Killarney to go away while she eats lol, so its a perfect time for he and I to get acquainted. And dear little Rusty, cute as ever is now 7 weeks old and I have to say out of all our baby foals, Rusty is the most perfect personality...of course I have loved them all but Rusty is just so very endearing. So due to the weather we have had to swap and cancel people coming this weekend sadly, but we cant make the weather so we just have to wait for next weekend now until people are able to come and enjoy the farm and all the animals....see you soon

We have animal feeding times and bottle baby feeding times and milking goats times all on the blackboard so that you can meet us at these areas and join in...people dont often get the chance to milk a goat or bottle feed babies so we always have people lining up to have a go.... Currently milking about 10 Mini Milkers and 15 babies to bottle feed 3 times a day, so that those here for a Day Visit get the opportunity to join in and those staying get lots more chances....we have taught many people how to 'milk a goat' now, its a great experience. Make your booking today...your visit helps feed our animals :) See you soon, Janelle & David Cooke

06.01.2022 Looks like this might be normal for us here during August....glad to see we have water that fills the dam and grows grass... after lliving through the drought we were wondering what normal looks like

I have a great video with Kalarney our baby donkey, in my way also that I will put up some stage and here is the gorgeous Flicker all grown up out in the big paddock and just waiting until a human comes along for a pat, but also seems to want to try and help build the fence lol There truely are animals in every paddock here that will come up for... pats and hugs. If you haven't been here for a while or never been here, you must come and meet all these lovely 4 legged friends. Yesterday Cookie (David) got the grader out and dug a few ditches to slow up the rain water and the goats just love the new contour banks to snuggle up in :). I love seeing our Deer Fallon happy in her life of freedom here on the farm....there is nothing better than looking out the window and seeing Fallon in the morning :)

Its great that we have so many people who have been here before come back for another stay, you will see some of your favourite animals like Peanuts and Kitty and there are always new babies to meet and interact with.... You can enjoy some time in the busy, noisy, hands on area of the Animal Nursery and Farmyard or you can simply go and enjoy the peace and quiet of the paddocks with simply the best views ever.
