24.01.2022 Yes we are OPEN.... read the Top Post on this page for ALL Booking information. Our Peacocks are often the stars of the Animal Nursery, such beautiful birds along with our chooks, we specialise in Frizzles and Sizzles lol love those names, also we have Turkeys and lot's of Guinea Fowl, you can never have enough Guinea Fowl lol and Pheasants and Pigeons and Ducks and lot's and lot's of babies you can hold... There is always something new happening in the Animal Nursery, we a...re currently building new large enclosures for our birds, we have most that are free range and walk around the farm, then others that need to be in enclosures so we have lots of room for them to enjoy their lives here on the farm. Our plan next is to start building our large walk in avery with a dam as I really want Swans oh and 'Bin Chickens' lol...... For ALL Booking information read the Top Post on our page....see you soon
24.01.2022 It's always sad to say goodbye to our animals as they move on to new loving families and the day has come for us to hug and farewell our dear sweet Francheska.... Francheska was born on a rainy morning 12weeks ago after a long wait for all our FB followers as her Mum Buffy just got bigger and bigger and seemed to never be going to give birth.... but on the 20th July our dear little Francheska was born. I was actually away as my daughter Sami and partner Alec welcomed on that ...very same morning our beautiful grandson Finn. My husband David found a wet little Francheska in the back paddock alone after her mother Buffy had decided that having that 'thing' hurt and she would have nothing to do with it (sometimes happens with first time Mum's),. So my husband took little Francheska to the baby goat/sheep pen and there she was raised with the bottle babies which at that time were lambs, so Francheska has never known herself as a cow and enjoys her happy life as a sheep lol People ask me how am I able to sell them on.... well there are a few reasons and all are to do with when they are older. In Francheska's case, she won't always stay a small calf...she will grow into a small cow that will eat a lot of grass or add to my feed costs....it takes time to keep all my animals happy and healthy and if they get sick at some stage in their life there might be vet bills... also one of my main issues for the future is that she will never be able to be with my little cow herd as her father is part of it and I don't want breeding issues.... also like all things where our farm visitors are concerned, babies are cute but many only look at the adult animals but spend lots of time with the babies, so as she grows people will take less notice of Francheska where as her new family will love her daily....we all wish Francheska a beautiful happy life.
23.01.2022 Our dear little chickadees are now healthy and happy and out of my laundry lol, living outside in the big Avery area in the Animal Nursery with everyone's favourite Turkey who just loves showing off to all the visitors here on the farm....see you soon
23.01.2022 This coming weekend we have room for Day Visits and Camping available.... Accommodation is booked... If you want to have that full farm experience its best to book ahead...check out the calander on our webiste for the opportunity to stay here. We are open between 10am - 5pm, 7 days a week with bookings...can be same day, but definately book by sending me a message, phoning or email.... If you are booked in, arrive at any time, then you will be given a tour of the farm to meet all the animals which will take around 1hr,(we do have a lot of animals to meet lol) then the rest of the day is yours to enjoy, pack a picnic to eat at the tables and chairs provided or take your picnic up the paddock to enjoy with the amazing views next to the beautiful State Forest. We have animal feeding times and bottle baby feeding times and milking goats times all on the blackboard so that you can meet us at these areas and join in...people dont often get the chance to milk a goat or bottle feed babies so we always have people lining up to have a go.... Currently milking about 10 Mini Milkers and 15 babies to bottle feed 3 times a day, so that those here for a Day Visit get the opportunity to join in and those staying get lots more chances....we have taught many people how to 'milk a goat' now, its a great experience. Make your booking today...your visit helps feed our animals :) See you soon, Janelle & David Cooke
22.01.2022 Here is our newest attraction our Bottle Baby Deer....we have 4 and as each day passes they are growing more trusting of humans which is wonderful.... this video was a few days ago, yesterday we had some of my Grandkids here and it was lovely to see how the Deer were interacting with them, they all got to bottle feed them, so sweet to watch.....see you soon
22.01.2022 We have some lovely dogs here that people get to know so well, Peanuts, Ricky and Snoopy who we see here looking after one of our Miniature kid goats. This little girl is now actually over 2 weeks old, how tiny is she! Snoopy is so good with the goats, if he needs to do some 'herding work' he is on it but if not he is fine left alone with them and the kids often come up to have a chat with him...Border Collies are such great 'all round' dogs. Well the recent weather predictio...ns have kept people away this week sadly, sometimes it did rain other days we had none so that is why we offer 'same day' bookings so that instead of cancelling cause the weather prediction is bad, why not wait and see what its like on the day? We have lots of babies here right now on the farm and also the chance to bottle feed or try milking a goat. If you are wanting to Camp or stay in the Accommodation its best to book ahead as we are booking up even into next year as people dont want to miss their chance of getting the date/s that suit them best. Just another thought, we are open to visits from groups such as Scouts/Guides/ Christmas Parties/Birthday Parties/and Schools for excursions. I have been recently asked if we can take bus loads of School groups for excursions and YES we can. On arrival everyone is given a Tour of the farm to get to know all the animals and answer any questions, this can take anywhere from 1/2hr to 3/4hr (depending on the amount of questions and patting of animals involved) then the rest of the time is yours to explore the farm.....of course ALL children need to be under adult supervision and on the busy days there can be 3 of us on Staff here to help with the Tours, so let your local schools know...we are open for business. See you soon :)
22.01.2022 Well here's the last babies for the season.....darn both boys so one will be desexed to be available as a pet and the other will be available as a reg. Buckling...so cute. I have a sweet little black girl also available. Anyone visiting gets to cuddle these little cuties.... plus there are lots to bottle feed... for those staying who are up and about at 8 in the mornings, you can have a try of milking... early start now it's summer. The pigeons love to produce lots of babies......birds always look a bit weird as babies. One of the pigeons is a bit confused, she started sitting on a duck egg and then layed one of her own (they seem to only have 2 eggs at a sitting, so hatch 2 babies)....she is still sitting on both but she might find the duck egg will take longer to hatch.... can't wait for her reaction lol. We had a lovely visit from Cookie's (David) parents and put Roger to work mowing the front driveway, looking lovely as you drive up. After 2 seasons of waiting I have finally got not 1 but 2 girls for my Lady Amythst peasant....he is extremely happy ... been here a week and already have a nest of eggs, they must like our farm My Lavender Farm in its first season with it's tiny purple flowers.... can't wait for next year, its going to look and smell amazing. Hope to see you soon
22.01.2022 A HUGE thankyou to ALL you lovely people out there who have 'liked' our page and helped us get to over 5,000 LIKES!!!!! how amazing is that! Please keep helping us grow by telling your friends and family about us and recommending us and sharing our posts...we so appreciate you helping us follow our dreams and continue to grow. Also if you have visited us, leave a review of your experience and rate us...people do read the reviews and we have got some amazing photos sent in by... those that have been here, so take a look at the reviews. Its always baby season of some sort here at Quamby Park and yes we have our bottle baby Deer that have been a great attraction to people. People love to come and meet all our different birds, all individually loved as much as we love our animals....I dont name all our birds like I do my animals because I have around 200 animal names to remember lol, (my husband Cookie really doesnt remember all their names but I actually do, so come test me lol),but we do actually know all our birds well and would love for you to come and share in our passion and ideas of expanding....we are making plans for a huge walk in avery with a dam so that I can have a water bird area with swans and other unusual water birds...and 'bin chickens' lol I just love them ;) Yesterday we had the first baby duckling born on our farm and 2 luckly little girls were the first to hold it, there are more hatching daily. People of all ages are loving the chance to hold these tiny Peacock chicks and Turkey babies and Guinea Fowl chicks (all available for pruchase, send me a message), ready to go now some can be outside and others under a light, its always a wonderful experience to watch them grow. We are open each day for Day Visits - if wanting to book same day then phone 0439 134040 and to book ahead email [email protected], sometimes we do fill up so best to book ahead...read the Top Post on this page for full info. The Bunkhouse is fairly booked up but there are a few spaces so get is quick. Camping usually available as we have a few areas for that. Again, thankyou to all who read and enjoy my daily posts and love to see the photos I put up of our farm...see you soon
19.01.2022 Well this year we have hit the jackpot with our bird breeding.....so far we have had lots of Turkey chicks and Guinea Fowl chicks(called keets) and Silkie Frizzle chicks and now a big batch of Peacock chicks that were hatched by our Turkey girl....how clever is she. There are still a few to hatch under other Mum's including Mrs Peacock who finally decided to sit on the last 4 eggs. We have more to hatch soon including more Guineas (first group have sold).... Waiting on the Pheasants to hatch and Ducklings.....and of course our different breeds of pigeons ( do they ever stop breeding lol). So if you are interested in any of the above mentioned babies send me a message today.. With the news about the corona virus spreading in greater Sydney I was sad today to have to say no to someone from Sydney wanting a Farm Visit..... everyone's health is so important at this time.... please stay safe and thankyou for your understanding.
19.01.2022 Book your Day Visit or Accommodation or Camping stay today at Quamby Park Farm Stay & Petting Zoo. Read our reviews and come and meet all our animals. Its great that we have so many people who have been here before come back for another stay, you will see some of your favourite animals like Peanuts and Kitty and there are always new babies to meet and interact with.... I think what people like the best is that you can walk in any of the large paddocks and there are animals that you can actually pat like goats, cows, sheep, horses, donkeys, they will come up to people as they really love attention. You can enjoy some time in the busy, noisy, hands on area of the Animal Nursery and Farmyard or you can simply go and enjoy the peace and quiet of the paddocks with simply the best views ever. For Day Visits please contact me direct 0439 134040 to book in. For Camping or the Accommodation go to our website, check out the calander for availability and book your stay today. Weekends and holidays can get booked up so make sure you book ahead (we have a few bookings now for 2021)....why not book in for a mid-week visit as this way you can aviod the crowds and might have the whole farm experience to yourself....see you soon.

18.01.2022 A big HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL the lovely people on this page who have either been here for a visit, are planning a visit or are following our farm. We bought this farm just over 4 years ago to help me continue my dream of expanding my Miniature Goat Stud which I started at our 12acre propery near Young NSW back in 2005. With the onset of the drought I needed to find a way to be able to keep my animals and feed them as the drought continued over 2yrs so I opened our farm to the ...public just over a year ago thinking, maybe we will get a few people who will pay to meet my animals and my friends always told me that our farm was like a zoo.....I had always wanted to work in a zoo lol so I thought 'ok I will give it a try'. I truely never expected it to take off as its has and I gratefully thank everyone who has supported our growth here at Quamby Park Farm Stay & Petting Zoo....for helping me make my dream come true! I have the best partner in my husband David (Cookie) who helped me follow my dream and with the growth of Quamby Park, has finally left his Canberra work and is here on the farm full time to help as its become way too much for me on my own....I thank Cookie for never shying away from me when I say to him 'Hey Hun I have this idea' lol. And ideas we do have....lots of new plans for expanding this year, including my new office where we will be selling merchandise, a huge walk in avery with a dam for unusual water birds, the expansion of my Lavender Farm and my Spiritual Workshops....we have lots of the animals that people know and love, lots of new ones always arriving (baby goat season starts in April). We hope to see you here in 2021 and that your year ahead will be as wonderful as I am sure ours will be here at Quamby Park....thankyou, Janelle & David
18.01.2022 Just some of the Bottle Babies having fun after their bottles....the lambs stay inside to have a bit of dry feed after their bottles but the kids just want to play
18.01.2022 Here's our Kitty the Supervisor back at work helping campers pack up their tents. We have had a huge Long weekend and still have one more week of the school holidays...we are booked up for those wishing to stay but I have room for Day Visits so contact me asap to save your spot as once I fill my quota that day will be full. It's heartwarming to have everyone who stays here say they will definitely be back and will be telling their friends and the Day Visitors saying the same ...and many making plans to stay to get that full farm experience If you book in for a Day Visit and looks like rain then we can swap you to another date that suits...do remember to check BOM for Bendick Murrell NSW and if it's 18 plus deg. and 1ml expected, for us here on the farm it usually means, although not sunny its still worth coming and enjoying a day with the animals. It looks like Wed. & Thurs. This week will be raining so possibly not the best days for a day visit... We do have plenty of sheds to get away from light rain Reminder to book early for your Accommodation/Camping/Day Visits... see you soon
18.01.2022 Well for goats there is nothing better than a hill to climb, they are so very happy up high The next few photos are of pollen, not dust...the pine trees are releasing their pollen ahead of the rain predicted this weekend.... Yep that's right it looks like another weekend of rain here on the farm so it might be a quiet weekend for us.... but I won't complain about the rain after going through the drought ... We currently have lots of Bottle Babies both Miniature Goats and Sheep...lots to cuddle... some heading off to their new homes soon and a few more available. For all bookings for Day Visits and Camping and Accommodation contact me via email [email protected] or phone or message
17.01.2022 Early morning fencing is a beautiful time here on the farm especially during summer before the heat of the day and definitely less flys lol We are blessed with stunning views and of course a whole lot of lovely freindly animals....life is good here at Quamby Park... have you visited us yet? We love that over the time we have been open people have come back more than once often bringing more friends.... Recently we have had lots of people book the Bunkhouse and Bus as a big group with everyone having a great time. Some groups have those who want to camp while their other family members choose to stay in the Bunkhouse or Bus so they 'dont have to bring a thing's. True the days are hot but the early morning and late afternoons are lovely and during the day, those staying often go spend the day in at the Young swimming pools...it all makes for a wonderful holiday experience. Read the Top Post for booking information...see you soon
16.01.2022 Well the babies still keep coming.....we have a new baby Miniature Goat, still waiting on 2 more Goats to kid and 1 more Miniature Lamb to be born....then we have lots of eggs... The mother Golden Pheasant is sitting on at least 8 eggs and the Peacock Hen has laid 5 eggs so fa...r, once she has laid what she feels is enough she will start sitting on the eggs until hatching, so baby Peacocks and Golden Pheasants this season. I am also excited to say I will be picking up 2 lovely Lady Amythst Hens for our lonely boy ;) Down at the dam our baby Lillypads are growing and there is a hint of purple just starting to show, as my first season of baby Lavender is flowering....I feel like a mother to the 240 baby Lavenders I planted lol I am sure the 100 baby Aust. Cod are growing and swimming well in the dam, cant see them but I throw them some food and hope they are eating to grow ;) Its back to great weather here on the farm and people are enjoying the chance to milk goats and bottle feed all the babies. 14.01.2022 I often get asked about our Deer called Fallon.... I got her as an adult over a year ago from a deer farm where she was raised for meat... she was crazy wild when I got her being never really handled by humans...my husband built an amazing carrier box to transport her to our farm and we had to be so careful with her locked in a large shed where she could see out but not escape or injure herself trying, the hope was that she was pregnant and that I could handraise the baby, as... time went by it was obvious that she wasn't sadly but I still had Fallon...it took Fallon around r months of my daily visits to get to the stage where I could pat her and get her to eat out of my hand and then as I had built a good solid outdoor area around her shed I was able to let her out into the yard.... but try as I may I could not tame her to where she really liked humans...so with my next kidding season starting I made the decision to give Fallon the chance to live free in the paddock with some of the goats she had become friends with.... I am so pleased to say that Fallon is really happy in her new free life in the paddock with the goats and is very settled... people will never be able to get near her but she is often close enough to see how pretty she is and I hope with time she will feel confident enough to stand nearer us as we come to see our beautiful deer Fallon living a good life of freedom here at Quamby Park Farm Stay & Petting Zoo. See more

05.01.2022 And still the babies are arriving....we have a few varieties of Pigeons here now and they don't take long to feel comfortable in their new surroundings and start to breed, some babies born and more to hatch soon. Our Golden Pheasants have eggs and the Ringneck Pheasants are laying now also. More Silkie Frizzle chicks hatching...so cute tiny.... It has been crazy busy over the school holidays and I want to seriously thank ALL those people who come to visit and shared their experience with friends and family who also come saying someone recommended our farm.... there are some lovely reviews and more people I sure will add theirs to the list.. It makes my heart full reading their personal feelings about our farm and the photos they take during their visit, please take a scroll through our reviews. As most of you know I am mainly on the farm myself, but during the holidays I knew with the bookings I had that there was no way I could cope for the whole 2 weeks on my own so I am so grateful to my apprentice Kay who came and worked for 4hrs a day during my busiest days...she did a great job giving people their tour on arrival and any odd jobs I could give her so that I was able to work in other areas....as we grow, I am hoping to be able to employ Kay more as she is a wonderful asset to our farm. From now we are again open to plenty of room for Day Visits and Camping and Accommodation.... but if you have a date in mind be quick to book as we are getting booked now right through to Christmas...see you soon
04.01.2022 Well now that the horrible winds have died down that have been hammering all over NSW, things are much more bearable working outside on the farm.....and no matter what the weather we get some extrordinary views! The Peachock and the pigeons are getting along fine. Children $10. (that includes anyone walking or interacting with the animals so they are covered by insurance). A super huge thankyou to those who share Quamby Park Farm Stay & Petting Zoo with their friends, in reviews and mention us on FB posts as honestly your comments to others helps us get known...we will never let our farm be over loaded with people as I feel part of the experience we offer is the freedom to enjoy the animals and nature in a quiet positive way, so by being able to control the bookings myself now that we have our own insurance lets me keep our visitor numbers to an enjoyable amount for your next visit...see you soon

02.01.2022 Milking goats has started again here on the farm So for those wanting to have a go if you are here staying and you can drag yourself out of bed and to the milk shed at 8am then I can give you a go. I am also milking in the afternoon at 3pm just to give anyone around another opportunity. People often ask me do I make cheese or soap with the goats milk, my immediate answer is 'in my spare time' lol....if you have visited our farm you will see I don't have a lot of 'spare time...' The milk I get from the milkers is used to bottle feed the babies...the reason I bottle feed the babies is to make them tame so that they are friendly adults....the reason I milk the goats is so they also stay tame...and they love getting milked...they love the extra attention and of course the extra feed ... I find milking twice a day gives me more milk for the babies and relieves the Mum's so they don't get such a tight udder and gives people visiting a chance to milk goats. Mini Milkers can give you around 1&1/2lts of milk a day compaired to a big normal sized goat that can give you up to 3lts per day... but a big difference is Mini Milkers are smaller, need less area and can be dried up easier if needed....each season I have Mini Milkers available in full milk. So it might be raining this weekend but luckily I will be dry in my milking shed....see you soon

We have room for Campers right now...book on our website or via email. As usual we are open for Day Visits but again you do need to book...if its same day, please phone 0439 134040 to book in before coming. Open between 10am - 5pm. Cost is Adult $20. Children $10. Arrive when you wish....on arrival you will be given a tour of the farm of the farm to meet ALL the animals then the rest of the time is yours, pack a picnic and stay as long as you like.
