04.01.2022 COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) Dear Friends, Malaysians, Health Directors. READ THIS CARFULLY BECAUSE YOU’RE LIFE AND YOUR FAMILIES LIFES DEPENDS ON IT.... Precaution against Produce (Foodstuffs) Such as Oranges, Apples, Potatoes, bananas, mangoes, etc. Bottles (all kinds, oil, sauces, wines etc) touched, handled placed and replaced. The virus is mainly spread during close contact and via respiratory droplets produced when people cough or sneeze. Respiratory droplets may be produced during breathing but the virus is not considered airborne. People may also catch COVID-19 by touching a contaminated surface and then their face. The virus can live on surfaces up to 72 hours. Time from exposure to onset of symptoms is generally between two and fourteen days. The writer has been in the fast food business for over 16 years with experience as a training officer, product implementation, trouble shooting, lecturing on bacteria, cleanliness, foodstuff and much more. I would like to recommend that all food centres are to implement the following on all foods and especially the produce (fruits and vegetables) sections, fish or anything handled between person to person. Having masks on when you shopping are not enough, a customer should be aware how to handle the produce (food product) when you shopping. 1. No customer is/are to handle food produce unless having plastic gloves on (gloves must be like medical plastic) other material gloves will not be allowed as they will absorb bacteria and maintain same for a long period of hours. The material or cloth should be due to the fact that they will be reused again and again, these material gloves will spread the virus throughout other means of transfers. See section virus above. 2. Shopping centres should have several staff with medical gloves assisting customers in picking and choosing produce. No gloves-don’t touch. 3. Shopping should have staff assisting customers in the cooking oil section, ensuring customers don’t pick bottles and replace it back on shelf. 4. Shopping should have staff assisting customers in the wine and alcohol section, ensuring customers don’t pick bottles and replace it back on shelf. 5. Shopping centres needs to ensure that escalator rails are always sanitised, this is one of the deadliest item that transfers the COVID-19. Please be advised that my Doctors degree is not in the Medical field. ______________ Ralph Michael Esq. PhD. Ec Chief Executive Officer [email protected] SHOP.COM @quantumpetroleum.com.au
