23.01.2022 Large Torrington Smokey with a Druzy growth. Hard to spot these ones as the dirt/clay sticks to them. Often ending up the discard pile. Only later to be spotted after the rain has cleaned them. See comments for backside picture. 68mm x 40mm. Stunning in person as it sparkles with so many tiny faces. Only had a light toothbrush rub.

15.01.2022 Smokey Cluster. Torrington. Yet to be cleaned. The cluster at some point has been exposed to a corrosive mixture etching and eating the crystals yet some are untouched. The large one at the back exposed an old growth tip. Making this one special. The etching also allowed mica to fill small tiny space. Giving a lovely gold shimmer.

04.01.2022 Recent Torrington Dig, NSW Australia part 4. Smokey Quartz crystals. Dug many smokies over last few years. This was the best pocket so far. The digging to get these was shear hard work, with my brother shouldering the lion share. Roots, locked in Quartz rocks teasing us with more and more tips. There were 2 clusters left on host rock, we tried getting one off but the damage was not worth it. So down I went and grabbed a video of them. Hope you enjoy.
