25.01.2022 It was a cold but special night at Junior Guides. 8 of our wonderful girls made their promise for the first time. Given the CoVID restrictions we had to have the ceremony outside but with the help of a campfire, S’mores’, cupcakes, hand warmers and singing it was a fun night. Congratulations to Izzy, Mia, Ruby, Abi, Esha, Clara, Zoe and Emily and thanks to their families for sharing such a special night with us. We Girl Guides.

23.01.2022 So proud of the Junior Guides today. Each Girl Guide wrote a commitment leaf promising that they would make one change to help the environment. Lots of them promised to be better at recycling, turning off the lights and turning off their technology when they are not using it. Some promised to use less and some promised to stop using things like plastic straws. Great finish to our Day Camp. Let’s see how they go next term. We love Girl Guides.

14.01.2022 Queanbeyan Junior Guides enjoying a Nature Play Day Camp. A beautiful day with lots of activities. We made clay bugs and recycled sitapons, floated bark boats, learnt about the 3 R’s - reduce, re-use and recycle, designed nature trails to follow and played games. The girls brought their own picnic lunches and we really enjoyed the outdoors. Big thank you to the volunteer leaders for giving up weekend time to be with the Girl Guides. We may not have been able to sleep over at the Guide Hall because of CoVID but we still had a great time. We Girl Guides.

12.01.2022 The Senior Guides had a great morning Geocaching in Googong. We followed a trail of caches named after Queen songs and found 23 in total! Even though it was squishy and damp, the girls worked great as a team and got in their 10,000 steps for the day. #geocachingadventures #girlguidesgoplaces
