24.01.2022 This year was to be the 125th Queanbeyan Show. It is with great sadness that we announce that the Bayldon Ag Queanbeyan Show has been cancelled for 2020 due to the current health situation. In its 124 years the Show has rarely been cancelled, however the decision was made for public safety and for the exhibitors and competitors who spend months preparing for the event. As well as for the safety and wellbeing of our volunteers who work selflessly to create and present the Sho...w each year. The Show has had three years of continuous growth in patronage, sponsorship and volunteer support and we were looking forward to another bumper show after the drought, which cancelled some events in 2019 and the fires earlier this year. We will work to make the 2021 Bayldon Ag Queanbeyan Show the best one yet. Please continue to create your ISO art and craft for entry in the pavilion and support those who support us. We will get another chance, but some local businesses and organisations may not. For example, Rotary Club of Queanbeyan West has supported us by coordinating the gates for many years and the Bayldon Ag Queanbeyan Show is their biggest fundraiser for the year they have now lost that opportunity. Bell’s Amusements from our sideshow alley has done their best to diversify, including recently running a COVID safe event during the holidays. You can find them at the Caltex on Bungendore Road with Bell’s Snacks to Go. 18.01.2022 Sadly the Bayldon Ag Queanbeyan Show is cancelled this weekend, but we're thrilled to hear the changes announced for 2021! While the Show won't be going ahead, you can still experience the fun of sideshow alley with rides and fireworks from Bells Amusements this weekend at Queanbeyan Showground. 15.01.2022 The Bayldon Ag Queanbeyan Show has been cancelled for 2020. The RiotACT discussed with the Rotary Club of Queanbeyan West and the Queanbeyan Show Society how the cancelling of the Show due to COVID has a much greater impact on the community than just no animals, rides or craft pavilions for the Queanbeyan and Canberra district to view and enjoy.
