24.01.2022 On Saturday 1st May, we had students competing in the Newstead Athletics School Series run. Congratulations to Jai and Ruby who placed first in the Under 17 races. 24.01.2022 The Queechy High School Office will be closed from 4pm Tuesday 22 December 2020 and will reopen Thursday 21 January 2021.

23.01.2022 A reminder that all grade 10 students will be attending Newstead College orientation day tomorrow the 3rd of September from 8:45am until 2:30pm. Students are to make their own way to and from the college. Students must be in full school uniform. Have a great day students!

22.01.2022 A reminder to our wider Queechy community, that at tonight’s Celebration we are unable to have anyone viewing our arrivals. Whilst we are aware that this is difficult for many, we thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

21.01.2022 Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are unable to allow spectators to any of the games at both QHS and KMHS. We hope that the Bulldogs cup will return to normal in 2021.

17.01.2022 On Monday, the Marine Science class travelled to the Marine Discovery Centre at Woodbridge School. The students worked as environmental scientists and completed several investigations on the fishing boat. Look out for our next newsletter on Friday 14th May for more information and photos!

12.01.2022 Year 10 Celebration Dinner Information We are awaiting advice from the Department of Education in relation to our end of year celebrations. We are aware that many families are keen to hear if a formal year 10 celebration dinner will be offered this year as planning will need to begin very shortly to ensure this is in place. Staff from the DoE will be providing advice to schools in the near future about end of year celebration dinners and we will be advising parents as soon as this becomes available.

Jamie D was very close to breaking the 100m grade 9 boys record with a time of 11.84seconds. Old record still standing at 1.52seconds. Including remembering our COVID-safe behaviours and following Public Health advice. Celebrations and activities will look different from school to school based on its size and the facilities they have available. 03.01.2022 Today our Year 9 Student Leadership Board candidates for 2021 participated in a speeches workshop. This was run by Mr Ritchie and Mr Tepper and was designed to build student's knowledge and ability in speech writing and presenting. 01.01.2022 The Grade 10 team had two exceptional days at the recent college orientations. Students visited Newstead College on Thursday 3rd September and Launceston College on Monday 7th September. All students benefited greatly from these two days and are now more informed as they select their pathway for 2021 and beyond.
