12.01.2022 SKIPPERS REPORT 16 Dec. We've had a hell of a windy spring on the weekends. Our water temp is 2 degrees down on the last couple of years. Our charters have concentrated on calamari, and more reef fishing. We've landed some nice snaps, heaps of gurnard and the flattys are just firing up. They'll only get better after this hot weather scheduled. King George whiting are about when the water is sandy and stirred up. ... Gummy sharks should be anytime now since we are generally using freshly caught calamari or salmon strips for baits! We lost a nice one last week on the whiting gear. 06.01.2022 Well it's a very trying time for us fisho's. Esp those that rely solely on this as a means to make a dollar. Oh I feel your pain!! Our business has ZERO INCOME in the last month. But still has bills to pay, somehow? Stay home now, so we can fish later in a month hopefully. However we can all be guaranteed those that choose not to for whatever justification you may have, will, mark my word, ruin it for everyone for longer. Thankyou for almost 15 yrs of support for our local... little business. We have helped so many people catch their first fish and conqured a few fears of the sea along the way.
