24.01.2022 QGC Update April 1, 2020 With the closure of the course, our committee will continue to plan and implement a strategy for the course that will enable us to be successful into the future and ensure that we are in the best shape possible following lifting of the restrictions. We apologise for not being able to provide golf to our members and the wider community, however we need to ensure we are complying with government regulations and taking a positive role in minimising the ...COVID-19 spread. We hope that our closure will not be extended past April 13, but it is a possibility and we are relying on advice from Golf Australia as well as the Victorian State Government. It is important that everyone follows the new restrictions, as they will enable us and the community to resume to our usual activity sooner rather than later. This includes hygiene, social distancing and minimising unessential travels. Our closure, enforced until at least April 13, means no access to the course and surrounds this includes members. We will be continuing to maintain the course, keeping ground staff to a minimum while preserving the current condition of the course for when we reopen in the future. See photos below of work being carried out on the course during closure. Queenscliff Golf Club

22.01.2022 Today the grounds staff have begun removing some Gum trees (along the 10th), a couple of Cypress trees, and others. They will continue to remove more over time. This will create a great view of the bay from the Clubhouse! See the photos below from today!

17.01.2022 COVID-19 Course Update - We are open March 24 Dear all, Following the new announcements from the State and Federal Governments from Monday evening, we have had to update our operations in order to comply with the new standards effective immediately.... Our Golf Course and Pro Shop are remaining open - members and green fee players are still welcome. All food and beverage from the Pro Shop will be take-away only. Players are no longer allowed to sit in the clubhouse. We are putting in place a one person per cart rule this is compulsory in order to comply with new social distancing standards. We will be sanitising carts regularly. Players must be distanced from each other at all times. Approximately two club lengths can be used as a guide. All bunker rakes have been removed and we ask bunkers are reinstated with your foot or a club. Preferred lie in bunker. Cups on greens are now raised above putting surface. If your ball hits the cup, the putt is deemed as in. On competition days, a scorecard return box will be placed outside. We ask that players do not gather indoors, but instead pay comp. fees and collect their card in the clubhouse one at a time. We will not be allowing anyone to sit inside the clubhouse. The club’s front door will be locked and all players are asked to enter around the back entrance. We expect all players comply with the following hygiene practices: - wash your hands often with soap and running water for at least 20 seconds - try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth - cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow - if you feel unwell at all, please isolate yourself at home - shaking hands is not permitted Please do not come to the club if you are showing any signs of illness. Members that are older or have underlying health issues are particularly vulnerable at this point in time. If you have been diagnosed with Coronavirus, please notify the manager John Fendyk immediately and disclose anyone you have been in close contact with in the past 14 days. If you have returned from overseas or been in contact with any potential COVID-9 cases please self-isolate for 14 days and do not come to the club. Please also check our last update titled ‘20th of March Urgent Member’s Update’ on our website https://www.queenscliffgolfclub.com.au/club-news/. This was also emailed to all members. We expect members to continue to comply with these measures as well, where applicable. If you require any additional information, please call the club on (03) 5258 4344 or email us at [email protected]. Please ensure you inform us immediately of any known COVID-19 cases that could be relevant to us at the club. Our members’ safety is our priority. Thank you for your cooperation and we hope everyone is staying safe. Queenscliff Golf Club
