25.01.2022 A petition to return to Australia one of the most iconic cars in film, Mad Maxs V8 Interceptor, has close to 4000 signatures. Its a big development for a car that was once in a junk yard and whose owner, an American businessman, apparently knocked back $2 million a couple of years ago. How much do you think it is it worth to Australia?

25.01.2022 FUN FACT FRIDAY: Mona Lisa, Last Supper, the first car? Leonardo da Vinci didnt just revolutionise the world of art in the 15th century, he also designed the first self-propelled car. A team from The Institute and Museum of the History of Science in Florence turned his ideas into reality in 2004.

24.01.2022 WEDNESDAY WEEKLY: Did you have a favourite car that you saw driving around the streets of your suburb when you were a kid? Perhaps your neighbour or a relative had a little gem that always stuck in your mind or you caught a glimpse of it in a movie or magazine? Every Wednesday we will feature a different vehicle from A to Z that might stir some of those memories. This week it is A for Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV. Pic credit: https://auto-data.org/

22.01.2022 Throwback Thursday: Flashback to our visit to the birthplace of Ferrari motor cars. Enzo Ferraris house has been converted to a magnificent tribute to the Prancing Horse marque. My favourite Ferrari is the 1964 250GT. Whats yours?

21.01.2022 FUN FACT FRIDAY: Which company makes the most car tyres annually? Pirelli? Michelin? Bridgestone? No, youll find it in your kids toy box. Its LEGO. They produce as many as the next two put together or 300 million per year. And yes, thats a Ferrari made of LEGO.

20.01.2022 Early morning traffic in front of the ....... wait, where am I again?

19.01.2022 WEDNESDAY WEEKLY: What iconic car was the biggest selling vehicle of its time, stirred the emotions of several generations of buyers, and floats? Designed in 1933 by Ferdinand Porsche, the Volkswagen Beetle was designed to be das welt auto, the world car. From the original models produced in 1938 right through to the last units to roll off the assembly line in 2004, everyone knows someone who owned at least one Beetle in their lifetime. This great little car remains the second biggest selling model of all time (only being surpassed by the Toyota Corolla). What colour was yours?

19.01.2022 Tuesday is Liberation Day: Today is Leberation Day in Bulgaria, Italy celebrate Liberation day on the 25th April, and the USA on the 4th of July. What has this ...got to do with cars you might ask. Well somewhere in the great nation of Australia, on any given day, the humble red P-plate signals liberation for a parent from the chains of unpaid Uber driver servitude. Red P-plates mean that you are free from the one hundred plus hours of supervised driving instruction that causes more friction in a family than a piece of sandpaper does on a South African cricket ball. Freedom from being a chauffeur does not however mean freedom from the expenses of motor vehicle purchase and maintenance. That day will have to wait.... See more

16.01.2022 End of an era: Whether you bleed red or blue, its been a sad time with the withdrawal of the historic Holden brand from our shores. But there might some good news for those of you who have a lion in the garage.

12.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW? What actually is in the Holden logo? Its a lion with its paw resting on a stone. But why? The designer referred to a fable about lions rolling stones (not the musical kind) leading to the invention of the wheel. How great is Colorful Days?

11.01.2022 CAR OF THE WEEK: Another big week dodging the traffic and getting to meet new people. This week’s car is a little less fancy and a bit more off-road. This 2006 Mitsubishi Canter 4x4 motorhome has all the modern conveniences as well as being able to get you to those remote fishing spots. Ensuite, queen-size bed, rollout bbq, satellite TV, and more...Just when you need for when the zombie apocalypse hits town.

09.01.2022 CAR OF THE WEEK: Another hectic week of driving around the countryside, valuing all manner of modes of transport. Sometimes we see cars that take your breathe away and leave you with a sense of Stengdahl Syndrome. This week it was a 2015 Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG roadster with a heap of factory options including exclusive nappa leather trim, AMG black wheels, and a sunroof. At a little over $400000 when new, they were not designed with everyones budget in mind but it is beautiful to look at. What do you think?

06.01.2022 If youve got a new car on order, it may be worthwhile checking with your dealer for any potential delays due to manufacturing interruptions and quarantine restrictions caused by the spread of the coronavirus. Dont forget that all imported motor vehicles pass through quarantine on entering Australia.
