On 14 November 1996 Four workers drowned after they unknowingly dug into an older, flooded mine and... caused an inrush of water. Recommendations from the Inquiry that followed led to many important reforms that today continue to protect the health and safety of workers so that they may go home to their loved ones after every shift. 03.01.2022 Grasstree Mine confined space course. This was the final course identified to respond to emergencies. The potential incidents driven from the site risk register steered the skills for the mine site, first response, vertical rescue and confined space. Many thanks to the mine for releasing people to undertake the training, and thanks to the team for their enthusiasm.
