23.01.2022 The Queensland Narrating Service (QNS) VIP Book Club will have a special guest at their next meeting, Australian author Breanda Cross! The event will be held from 10 am on Monday the 11th of March at the Community Meeting Room in the Brisbane Square Library. Brenden Borellini is a deaf and blind Australian photographer who converts his photographs into high contrast 3D images - this means his work can be enjoyed through sight and touch. 15.01.2022 We love when Guide Dogs Queensland post updates on how their little pups are going! Many of our members have guide dogs that have been trained by Guide Dogs Queensland and all of them started out as beautiful puppies just like this one. This video is of a yellow guide dog puppy lying on a fluffy purple rug howling towards the sky. She's wearing a small red collar and is giving it her all! 11.01.2022 Tomorrow is the opening of QUT Art Museum’s new exhibition "Vis-ability" Offering the unique opportunity to experience artwork through tactile models, audio descriptions, and augmented reality, the exhibition aims to make its remarkable collection accessible to everyone. 02.01.2022 80 years ago a small group of Blind Queenslanders established The Blind Person’s Building and Home Maintenance Society. Through lots of hard work and generosity this society has grown in to what has become known today as the Queensland Blind Association Inc. In 2019 we celebrate 80 years of proudly supporting our members and Blind people all throughout Australia. We are so grateful for all of the support we receive and we’re excited for what the next 80 years holds for our association!
