20.01.2022 A good reminder, especially in these uncertain times, to not loose sight of the diseases we can immunize against. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=746551208814291&id=141102029359215

14.01.2022 Infant Mental Health Awareness Week runs every June to highlight the importance of babies' emotional wellbeing and development

12.01.2022 How amazing is breast milk? It’s perfectly normal for breast milk to be clear, white, yellow, orange, blue or green. It doesn’t indicate a problem, it’s got to do with how different foods impact the milk (like leafy greens, for example) or the milk’s changing composition overtime. https://metronorth.health.qld.gov.au//healthcare/milk-bank

12.01.2022 Looking for the root cause in behaviour..

11.01.2022 Axel Scheffler has produced a book about Covid-19 Coronavirus just for children - and it's available as a FREE download. https://nosycrowcoronavirus.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/Coro The Gruffalo illustrator worked with consultant Professor Graham Medley, two head teachers and a psychologist to make sure the book got the messages right, answering questions about quarantine, how you can catch the virus and what happens if you get ill.... This is great for our little ones and to keep as a keepsake to remember how we came together

09.01.2022 Unfortunately there has been an increase in domestic violence cases since this quarantine. Please don't be afraid to safely reach out. One way to do this is to have a an agreed system with a trusted friend. This system could be as simple as; A message about homemade pies (knowing they don't have any) and the trusted friend will know to check in on you regularly.... If you ask about BUYING pies (knowing they don't sell any) and include a shipping address, the trusted friend will know to contact the police. Child and Family Health Nurses are also a 'safe person' to talk to about Family and Domestic Violence, and we are still working during this pandemic. Please don’t stay silent.
